I purchased F.E.A.R today and about a minute into the inro, my computer restarts itself. :(

My computer meets the recommended system requirements, all the drivers are up to date, I have the latest version of DirectX, no overheating is ocouring and i'm running out of ideas. Does anybody know what's going on?

Anyway, it might be something with the game (Not like, the game being horrid as Ryan suggested), but something wrong with the disc, try and see if it'll do the same thing on someone else's computer, if it does just take it back and try and get a different copy.
I'm no expert on computer games though soz....

I'd say reinstall the game, if you havn't tried that. Have you also tried downloading the latest patch? If you have, I say it's probably your graphics driver/card overloading. This has happened to me (on my old ATI Radeon card), until I upgraded to nVidia 8800GTS.

If you don't belive your graphics card is overloading, either some of the install files are corrupted (i.e. reinstall), or I'd say, call customer service.

I got it to work. I have to have all graphical effects on their very minimum which is gay.
