Hello! And welcome to the FFVII remake discussion thread!:D This is where you can talk about the Final Fantasy VII remake. Feel free to share anything you'd like to say.:o Well, here's what I think of the strong possibility of a Final Fantasy VII remake.
Final Fantasy VII was the modern classic that changed the face of roll playing games. It was a masterpiece. Graphics didn't matter back then, because all we wanted was gameplay, right?;) But now, with the technology we have nowadays, wouldn't it be great to see a Final Fantasy VII remake? Of course, everything will look nicer, but what about all the people who have never experienced the original? This would make perfect sense. Not to mention that the first two Final Fantasies were remade for the PlayStation Portable system. Final Fantasy IV just got released onto the Nintendo DS not too long ago, so would this be a no brainer?:p Next would be V, then VI, and of course (hehe), VII. Also, Final Fantasy VII is the only game in the series to be spawning sequels, such as Advent Children, Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus, so, this would infact become another logical reason for a FFVII remake. Not only that, but in the secret ending to Crisis Core, a CGI video of the original FFVII introduction was shown (very similar to what we saw in E3 2006). The words read "to be continued in FINAL FANTASY VII". This, leaves us two choices. Choice number one: Go to ebay and purchase the original while getting ripped off for a ridiculous price, while choice number two leaves us with the thought of FFVII being remade for PS3 system. Well, we're not dumb, so we all know that it's going to be choice number two (hopefully).:p But; in order for this to happen, Nomura still needs to gather all the people who helped in the original project, but with all the current works in development (XIII, etc.), this won't be happening anytime soon, says Nomura.:( But rest assured. The remake is coming. And when it does, it'll even send TWICE as many shockwaves as it did back in 1997.;)
Once again, feel free to share your thoughts on this.:o
