View Full Version : Should Microsoft invent a Portable Gaming system?

ya, basically all in the title, but should Microsoft invent a portable system similar to the PSP or nintendo DS? if so, how would it work? would the graphics be as good as a regular XBOX system, or would have 2.5D spriting systems? I wil let you decide. If you have some extra time on your hands, post a picture of what it would like like in your eyes.

If Microsoft came out with a portable system it would probably be, basically, a portable 360.

They basically did come out with a portable system, it's called a laptop. :D

No, because its kinda late in the portable race IMO. if they did they should have in 05 or 06, but im sure it would have had some portable RROD :P

Maybe they could co-release it with the next console? Well, one thing's for sure, if they did make one, it would definitely be tech-heavy (RAM, memory, wide screen)

Seriously, Microsoft would be incredibly stupid to make a portable system. PSP is a great portable system. PSP dominates the "mature" portable market. The reason the DS is outselling PSP is because the "mature" portable market is nothing compared to the younger-age portable market.

The console would have better graphics than PSP, maybe a few more multimedia features, better online system and just generally have better technology.

The problem is, the PSP already has a very large install base and lots of people who want a "mature" portable system either have a PSP or can't afford one.

So basically, Microsoft would have an incredibly small market.
