What is the LittleBigCompetition?
Well, let's face it: every PS3 owner is looking foward to LittleBigPlanet. And if you know how to make a box, you probably want to make one. Why make it? It'll have no point. Oh really? What if you could steal the LBC (LittleBigCompetition) title of the LittleBigBest?

Prizes
Well, we can't really offer you any prize like a free LittleBigPlanet game (that money's going towards my copy!), but you can steal the title, LittleBigBest be winning. Then if you're in second, LittleBigSilver. Don't you want to have VGBA's best LBP box?

Rules
~Be a good sport. Nobody likes someone who can't take losing.
~Official boxes only, no humor boxes.
~Full boxes only. 3D boxes or spines are optional.
~No pre-made boxes. Boxes must be made for this competition.

ROUNDS
Round 1 ~ Simply create a Little Big Planet box art.
Round 2 ~ Create either a strategy guide cover and back or soundtrack.
Round 3 ~ Create a LittleBigPlanet boxart for an alternate console such as Wii or Xbox 360.
Round 4: FINAL ROUND! ~ Create a limited edition Little Big Planet box art or a LittleBigPlanet bundle.

CONTESTANTS
16 contestants total needed!

So people have to make LBP boxes for some 4-odd rounds? O.o 16 seems a little much for one game also...

I'll think about it. It could get real tough after a while, but that's challenging and Im always up for a challenge :)

I think this idea is really stupid, for one, sure there's a bunch of new images for LBP now, but all the boxes submitted are gonna look pretty much all the same, and especially with 16 people, on top of that 4 rounds of pretty much the same thing doesn't help either, neither does it encourage creativity. Who wants to see the same thing over and over and over again, this comp might be a little different if the theme was to make different Final Fantasy boxes, because there are so many games and art work out there for that. Just my opinion.

I'll think about joining, but as there are four rounds and so many contestants, maybe tone it down a bit. Less People and Less rounds?

Just my thoughts.

I agree with Shadysaiyan. This is not a good idea for a comp!
If there was a Mario or Sonic themed comp it wouldnt be so bad because there are MANY games in each of the series to choose from and a whole host of variety. But LittleBigPlanet is just.... well, one game! And there are so many awesome LittleBigPlanet boxes already on the site, do we really need another 16 (x4) or whatever?
Cute title though.

Should I reduce it to 8 artists and three rounds, then?

I agree with Shady. This sounds boring. I mean do competetion with a game that hasnt been used so much on this site. I mean little big planet is kind of close to being like Assassin's Creed on this site.

... or freakin' Halo3.

I DO like the idea for round 2. Designing the soundtrack or the guide could be really interesting. I have to agree with the rest though, I don't know if I could design 4 rounds worth of LittleBigPlanet. :(

Not to sound negative, but just because you win doesn't mean you made the best LittleBigPlanet box. A lot of great LBP boxes were posted before this competition was made.
