That looks Believable. Too bad it won't ever happen. I love the Dreamcast. Seriously, that looks so cool. I can't wait to see a box from you.

Well in August 2007, SEGA filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office to protect the Dreamcast trademark. The details of the application includes dance mats and flash memory cards, both of which the Dreamcast didn't have. That's the most intriguing part, and would suggest that SEGA have a new console in the works. Since rumours about Dreamcast 2 started, interest has grown rapidly. SEGA clearly have the support they will need to enter into the home console market again. Dreamcast 2 has a rumoured launch date of 9/9/09, marking the 10th birthday of the original Dreamcast :)

I dont like the poster at all sorry.
If I saw that advertisement in a magazine or newspaper, it wouldn't attract me to go buy a Dreamcast 2 whatsoever! Its very ugly looking actually. And theres no mention of Dreamcast or Sega anywhere! I wouldn't have a clue what it was advertising. Im sorry, stick with the boxarts and leave advertising to the professionals.

My my calling other members ignorant how kind of you.
There are newer gamers who dont know what a Dreamcast is, and to them it just looks like an eye with a swirl and a 2 in it.
Also it wouldnt sell to people just casually looking in a magazine if they dont recognize the 10 year old logo.
Also you can drop it with the rumor thing already as ive said before companies patent useless things all the time. /All the time/

Unless Sega makes an official comfirmation dont hold your breath.
Besides if this was truly the case why would they be launching what has to be one of there most hyped sonic games in a while (Unleashed) multi platform?

Maybe you're the ignorant one if you assume EVERY person knows what the little swirly thing symbolises. The word "Dreamcast" or "Sega" or "Games Console" is still no where to be seen, thus failing as an advertisement poster. If I saw that in a magazine, I would just think "Naa I dont need contact lenses" and just flip over to the next page.

I think it's supposed to be a teaser poster.. they don't always have to tell you what it means, it usually leaves you to figure out the rest. Like this..

Eh, that might be a little too obviously, but you get what i mean. It's an interesting design, but maybe you should put a Sega logo in the corner or something to clear things up a little... but yeah, it does look a bit weird. It certainly wouldn't persuade me to buy one.

Anyway, at first glance it's pretty nice but after checking it out I can see exactly what you did to achieve the effect.

lol, when i had mine the only game i had was Sonic Adventure, and as I got it imported from the US no PAL games would play, so after like 5 completions of SA with all characters, I had to sell it. :(

Well, the poster did have a message behind it. The eye pattern looks like the person is in a hypnotized state, like he's in his own little "dream" world. Get it? "Dream" world, Sega "Dream"cast?
