Hey everyone. I've started developing the areas of Subzero after that horrid crash on the 31st of May. However, I really do not have enough skills or high enough motivation to continue developing the game on my own. So I'm asking any of the VGboxart users to help me in the development process.
I'll stick to programming the game as well as stuff that require photoshop skills, however. There are two things that I do not excel at that is crucial to the game, sprites and enemy design. I'm also a bit edgy at Flash, as the only two things I can do are motion tweening and alpha channeling for making things transparent.
If you guys/girls are new to the metroid fangame business. Allow me to explain about the game.
Metroid Subzero is a fan game that is made with MultiMedia Fusion 2, which is a highly advanced engine that uses the same designing tactics as "Klik and Play" and "The Games Factory", in which programming is done by the engine itself, and mathematical programming is done by the user. The game will follow the gameplay elements of the 2D Metroid titles such as Super Metroid and Metroid Zero Mission, as well as adding some new features including free aiming and more complex boss battles.
Metroid Subzero takes place between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. After the destruction of planet Zebes, Samus Aran is sent on another mission to a newer Space Station, Ceres II, to track down the source of what she believes to be an outbreak of a mutation. However, Samus is attacked by an enemy. After the battle, the enemy breaches through the heating systems and an elevator, causing the systems to overheat, self-destruct and leaving Samus trapped in the station. Samus makes her escape in an escape pod, which was somehow programmed to land in an unmarked permafrost planet.
With no ship and her communicator broken, Samus is on a survival mission to escape the depths of the frozen hell, or die trying.

- Classic Metroid gameplay and exploration.
- Free Aiming System that allows Samus aim in all directions.
- Puzzling bossfights that are more complex than any 2D Metroid game.
- New puzzles that take advantage of the free aiming system and custom scripting.
- Includes a mini game, Metroid: Contamination Zone

Those who are testing the game will get to try out some of the features of the game before the actual demo. Be aware that as your job as a tester, you are to exploit problems and glitches that may affect the gameplay, and not to play for fun. :o
Also as a tester, you can show off some of your ideas at specific locations of the area. An example would be "I would like to see a certain puzzle in this area."
