Well, i don't really know. I felt like talking about something. Anyway, to me Mario Super sluggers looks identical to the one on the gamecube, just a wii sports version with new characters and stages. What do you guys think? Obviously everyone's going to go out and buy it just because it's got BABY DK. And talking about new gay characters that they will rape and put in every nect mario game including the next paper mario, DRY BOWSER??! Has nintendo gone mad? Why can't they just make a good, simple sports game for once, without adding new characters? All the Mario Golfs were the same, Mario strikers OoOh a super charge!!!!, Mario tennis games were the same, and i hated power tennis, just hated it. So, I'd like to know what you guys think about this whole topic, and more to come.

Sluggers is going to be lame. Five frickin' baby characters... like, six Donkey Kongs... hell let's put Link in there too!

So, what do you think the next Mario platformer will be like? I'd like a New Super Mario Bros 2.

Well, yes for the DS at least. There won't be another MARIO platformer for the Wii, because if anyone can remember, N64 had super mario 64, gamecube had Sunshine, or at least what was supposed to be a Mario platformer, and Galaxy for the wii. We have to wait all the way until Nintendo makes their next console just for another Mario platformer. I mean, why don't they just make another Mario platformer? Who cares if there is two?

@JBone, Dry Bowser is in MKWii, seriosuly dry bones and dry bowser, koopa and king koopa, that's just totally lame.

Sunshine was a platformer. And it was awesome. Honestly, why did everyone hate it? It wasn't SM64? It wasn't meant to be. It's a completely different concept, and is meant to be played quite differently. I actually found all the cleaning up to be more satisfying than it sounds. And I liked the move away from the Mushroom Kingdom, Isle Delfino was very well designed and was a nice change for once instead of having to fight Goombas in the same level repeated over and over again. Sunshine was one of my first Mario games (call me a noob, but I only really became a hardcore Nintendo fan after getting the Gamecube, and I'm hoping to go backwards to the SNES etc. I had a Game Boy though.) and I absolutely loved it, albeit not the game everyone was looking for, it was still awesome.

Oh yeah, the Mantaray... the game was very hard at points. I have to agree on that. But along with 64 and Galaxy, I always find myself getting to about 85 stars and being unable to get any more for some reason. 64 DS was annoying because I had like 8 stars to get from Rainbow Ride but it was too hard because of the stupid controls.

I think Sluggers will be fun. I hope the next Mario game will be a platformer, though. I'm sick of all the sports games.

I would like there to be a Mario Lacrosse, but two things: 1. They dont even have a freakin lacrosse game and Im pretty pissed abut that, but EA will whip a lacrosse game up in two months... And 2. They're justgoing to continue raping the mario series like they are starting to do to Sonic.

Sunshine was fun I agree. But was DEFINITLEY not even anywhere close to as fun as SM64 or Galaxy. A ot of times it had you doing the smae things. cleaning up after a pirahna, or swimming, or something like that. Galaxy and SM64 at least invite you to awsome boss fights with bowser. ***SPOILERS*** The only boss fight with Bowser in Sunshine is at the very end, but you cant even really count that a boss fight. I would like to see them recreate or make a sequel to Sunshine though, i think it would do good. For a remake, something would be good like NEw super mario sunshine or Super mario sunsine ds.

I hate that. Mario is supposed to be like the best character/icon out there, and he only has as many games as Nintendo has consoles. Besides the sports and party games, but those are mostly whipped together by Nintendo to make a quick buck. I mean, hell, they could have their own series (Nintendo Sports or something) but they stuck Mario on there 'cause they knew he would sell.

Also, another thing. Have people noticed that companies aren't looking ahead? Lately, a lot of companies (Gaming or otherwise) have been pumping out the "ultimate" product/game/movie/whatever. I mean, Nintendo just released SMG, where's Mario gonna go now, another dimension? Pfft.

If nintendo got that desperate, instead of running out to buy the game like i would usually do, I think i would just commit suicicde. They could at least make a regular lacrosse game, but it's probably too much work. =p Seriously though, it would be all that strikers/baseball/tennis crap with all those powerups and shit. It wiould basically be the same game.

That Wario game looks pretty cool. The WarioLand games used to be amazing, at least before WarioLand 4 on the Game Boy. That one had you finding like 8 pieces of something hidden in this absolutely enormous environment, and then running back to the beginning before time ran out. It got repetitive. But the first one, Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, was amazing. There were tons of alternate routes through the world, the powerups were cool and you had to be strategic about when to use them, and the Treasure collecting aspect with the Key and hidden door was really cool. If they could do that again, it could be worth it. But, this game may be a Wii Shop Channel game, like LostWinds.

Yes, but as Koopa said it's a Wii Shop Channel game, and it's just a sidecroller. I mean it does look like a DS game, but it would be a DS game with good graphics, that's for sure. I mean it's called Wario land: Shake! It must involve the wii anyway, i can't really imagine shaking a DS up and down. The wiimote seems to fit this game perfectly.

EDIT: Wario Land: Shake It!, a classic side-scroller for the Wii console launching September 29, stars Wario, the smelly, bad-mannered alter ego of Mario. With the Wii Remote controller turned sideways like an old-school controller, veterans and newcomers alike can run, jump and smash their way through hectic side-scrolling stages. Players shake the Wii Remote to help Wario take down his enemies, empty bags of treasure or cause earthquakes. Best of all, there are numerous stages each offering multiple missions to keep players coming back again and again to unlock everything, collect more coins or just improve their best times.

A monday.

Gotcha. So, I know this isnt really about mario games exactly, but Im asking for a cheat for Super Mario Sunshine. At Sirena Beach on the third level in the hotel how do you get past those boos when you go through the vents up onjh the top? It's so confusing! Theres like nowhere to go. So can anyone help me out?

Wario: Master of Disguise was crap. Using both the D-pad and the touch screen at almost the same time made it one of the most tedious to control DS games i've played. Drawing shapes on the screen was difficult as hell and the graphics were awful.

i'd rather have Wario World 2 than another sidescroller.

kirby22
06-28-2008, 07:44 AM
Wario World was amazing. It wasn't any Sunshine, 64, or Galaxy, but it was fun playing as an overweight unnoticed character. Some enemies were just plain weird, but the fame pulled through and was fun as hell.

But anyway, soes everyone know that place in Noki Bay or something? The hotel place? I've been playing Sunshine lately and can't get through the mysterious hotel delfino part, where you have to go through the vents and stuff. I went through like walls and stuff, but it was weird, I got stuck in one room. Whover beat this level, can someone help me out?

Lol and Luigi's too wimpy. And speaking of Luigi, I thought Luigi's Mansion was pretty bad. It was dissapointing, Luigi couldn't even walk like a normal human-being. He was shaky, and annoying, even though going through a dark hauunted house calling Maaaario! and opening doors was fun. But, the gameplay overall to me was terrible. Sucking up ghosts wasn't fun at all. Just my opinion.

I agree about Luigi having his own games, but it would have to be GOOD. Unless, they don't make Luigi all nevrouse and babyish then I would not want to see a sequel. ----SPOILERS---- Like Luigi in Super Mario Galaxy, when you played as him it was FUN. Hmmm... I guess I'm just about the only person on the site who hated this game. The gameplay just wasn't addictive and fun for me. It didn't keep me playing for weeks and weeks like good games are supposed to do. It just wasn't it for me. I wanted Luigi to at least jump and run like mario did, how we all remember how fun that was in Super Mario 64. We got that in Sunshine though, which I loved.

Woah woah woah, since when did good games have to be long? Portal, Gears of War, and Battlefield:Bad Company are all awesome games with short campaigns, just to name a few. And Luigi's Mansion was awesome, it brought something new to the series which was getting a bit stale at that point.

Yes, it had a twist. But sucking up ghosts with a vaccum, didn't appeal to me. The campain was boring, and I never said it had to be long or short. A good game is a good game. But Luigi's Mansion wasn't that for me. The beginning of the game was fasinating, adventuring through small rooms, just walking from one room to the next, and back to that original room. But as I got through it I realized it wasn't too great. I'd say a 6.5/10

Wait... a few posts ago you said "I guess I'm just about the only person on the site who hated this game." but now you rate it 6.5/10. Thats a bit stupid isn't it? If you HATE a game, you dont give it a score as a high as 6.5 do you? You dont see review sites like IGN saying they hate a game yet still give it a decent score. Either you lied about hating it or you're lying about your score for whatever reason.

Ok, the game's not TERRIBLE. As there are a few great points of the game. But for the most part I hate it. If you aren't happy with my score, then I'll make it a 5/10. There's no reason to lie about anything it's just what I think the game deserves.
