Far Cry 2 Jack Carver gone?

Hey yall that have played far cry the first one, what happen to Jack Carver? Cause I just read thats not him on the second one?

You never knew? I found this out months ago. They said Carver won't be returning because he wasn't very memorable and most players didn't like him too much. Apparently FC2 allows you to make your own dude instead.
