A decent tutorial on how to make box arts using the Gimp? I just registered here and noticed that there has been quite alot of noobs, and I do realize that I am one. But please give me a chance, I have some great idea I'd like to share with you all, but I just need to learn how to use this software, LOL.
I figured out to Photoshop in about 3 hours, well basics photoshopping Gimp should be simple to make out, I think you should figure it out yourself. Itís the best way to get to grips.

Ok, I've never used a photo editing program, so this could be hard. But thanks for the advice anyways:p
Me too, it was the same scenario for me, I never used a editing program and it only too like 3 hrs to learn Adobe, and its more fun playing with the painting and liquefying filters to learn rather that reading a boring manual with all the different techniques, most info you probably wonít need layer cutting is the main thing to learn firsthand.
Practice makes perfect, you should submit your practice in the forum for approval or something.:p

i am unsure if there are any tutorials for using GIMP in peticular, i haven't seen any. i just played around with GIMP until i got the hang of it, then making a box became easier. Just try playing around with the program, if not, Google is EVERYBODIES friend;)
