could anyone please tell what "free" programs i can download and use
to make box arts. as i am a newbie i have no idea how to make these.
any help would be apreciated,

If You Want A Good Image Program Use 'Gimp' http://www.gimp.org/ Or If You Got Money You Can Buy Photoshop!
If You Want Help With Gimp You Will Probably Want To Ask RadioactiveBob.

use photoshop cs2 its easy to handle and better and for 3D boxs use imandix

yeah buy Photoshop CS2 if you have $800 big ones...lucky for me I have it. But you can download it for a 1 month trial.

Just some advice SPEND TIME ON YOUR BOXES AND POST THEM IN FORUMS FIRST then you can submit them if they are FINISHED and are...you know...good.

Anyways welcome to the site and I hope you will make good boxes because I dont want to give out bad scores.

I suggest you get GIMP, it's free and a very good program. If you need help, you can ask anybody who has it.
i.e. Mr. Buell i think has it (he's better than me :p ), but i also have it.

Sorry, Bob. I use Photoshop CS2...but I got mine with other Adobe programs for $250, 'cause I got the college price ('cause I'm in college). :cool: (real Price is $1,500 :eek: )

Wecome to the site ! Try photoshop it 30$ at Walt Mart or just get GIMP .

or download it as an torrent file, and you will have it for free. (It's not illegal if you use it for own purpose, if you upload it then it's illegal.)
I downloaded it like that because I putted my version on the Internet for Backup, not for public!
