Hey what's up guys, I've decided to come here for console help.

Now, I am really into console-style RPGs, so Final Fantasy is a must. Since both systems have it, I am good. Although, action-RPGs are my fave (Crisis Core anyone?)
Next, I really like the idea of the PSP allowing downloads of basically any retro games (if anyone can tell me where to find these, I would greatly appreciate it. I heard you can also get 'em for free. And if it is on limewire, please tell me reliable files to download. HAHA.)
I really want to try MGS. So That's a plus. But game lke The World Ends With You and Zelda: PH really draw me towards the DS.
So, I am putting it up to you guys.
Which one is the better console?

The Nintendo DS is best for better software and the touch-screen brings a whole new depth to the way you play games. And like you said, The World Ends With You and Zelda: Phantom Hourglass along with New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart DS and WarioWare: Touched are more than enough reaons to go for the DS;)

A modified PSP is SO much better then a DS in every way, DS has some better games, but PSP can just do so much more. If you don't plan to modify however, you should probably just get a DS.

Games like God of War really draw me in, and I realllllllllly want God of War: Chains of Olympus.
In regards to platformer-esque games, I really enjoyed Daxter, and I am not a very big fan of Mario games.
But I am really torn between TWEWY and FFVII: CC, because they are both unique and I love them both.
BUT I LOOOOOOOVE Advance Wars and I have yet tried to play FF: Tactics, so I am torn between those as well.
SOOOOOO, in all, I am really stuck.

You sound more interested in the PSP games. You seem to want a PSP more

Hmmm, you may be right.
Anyone else care to share their thoughts or opinions?
P.S. I can only get one at the moment. Hehe.

With a modded PSP you can hide your porn and play Pong. Fun!

You know the PSP is much more powerful, with more MATURE (yes mature e.g. violent) game ranges and that it can emulate:
PlayStation 1
Sega Mega Drive (Genesis)
MSX
MSX2
Nintendo 64

...and...
drum roll please

NINTENDO DS

So yeah, I'd get a PSP (although I've already bricked mine), and maybe hack it with a custom firmware. Even more juicy! The Nintendo DS can barely do that.

Hmm can it emulate a touch screen?

Didn't think so.

You turn the PSP vertically, and use the analog stick as that pen.

WarioWare: Touched are more than enough reaons to go for the DS;)

That is thee exact reason why I bought a DS.

You're never gonna get the same effect. You shouldn't even try.

It was too short, that was my only problem. However, it's excellent for long drives/flights/other forms of movement where you sit on your ass for a few hours.

To answer your question, KG, I would lean toward the PSP. Bigger variety of games, and the bonus effect of movies/mods/music.
