really WTF? i've had my 360 for 3 years and i never faced any heating problems nor anything, now it RRoD on me?! why?! is it because i want GoW2 so badly? this is yet another reason that makes me hate M$ even more , now it will take a billion years till i gather enough money to buy a new one... dammit!

You can try and fool Microsoft to fix it. From me they did not ask of any receipts or anything (though I did not fool them as my warranty was and still is valid).

Make sure your game isn't in backwards. If it is, then turn it around. If it isn't, then you're a statistic.

wow, that really sucks man. My 360 is teetering on the edge of functionality. One time it flashed the ring for about 2 seconds but stopped, turns out i hadn't fully plugged in the power pack thing. But it's been dropped, knocked over, banged on and shoved into tight spaces many times. I fear it will break soon, but it's not like I don't expect it. What also sucks is that my warranty is up. I got it at Christmas 2006, so I don't think I'd be able to return it.

okay guys i have an update on my case with the shitbox360, i have good news and bad news , the good news is that in 15 of may ill be getting a 360 Elite, the bad news is that ill be gathering money till i have 209$ to pay my debt, why is it bad news? it means ill be buying less and less games each month than i normally do which sucks ass cause a lot of games are coming out from may to nov, yesterday i talked to the store staff and one of them told me that i can give them my dead 360 and pay 155$ for a new 360 Elite, and if you're wondering where the hell the 155$ came from, well i have been saving up money for my so called PC upgrade but since my 360 died and all went to hell i probably won't be upgrading my PC for a very long time, oh and the 360 Elite original price is 464$ with the HDMI cabal included.

He called it that AFTER it died. I'm sure he liked the console before it's passing. I for one would definitely hate it if mine suddenly broke. Practically any console, really... I have had a lot of consoles break in the past but those are usually due to accidental reasons like them falling off a shelf or being smacked too hard, and not actual technical failures.

I've had mine since 2005 I think. Nothing ever happened to it and I still have it. :) Good 360... But I don't play it much anymore.
