The victim was not waiting for the game, so no irony was involved. I do wonder what the attacker's motive was. Did he think he was cutting in line or something?

oh for fuck's sake, if anyone blames this on the actual game i will murder them. this (or something similar) happened with Halo 2. Not to mention the guy he stabbed was just a passer-by, not actually in the queue. He only did this because he was too hyped up to wait any longer so he went and stabbed a random person for no reason. But whatever the case, this has absolutely nothing to do with the game's content. Again, it was like this with H2. These news reports know jack shit about the game either. "An eastern european criminal operating in the United States"? It's more like "An eastern european immigrant visiting the United States". Cue Jack Thompson.

I think a man was just passing by and one of the guys in the queue thought he was trying to push in the line (considering it must of been quite busy, 100 people lining up) and so he stabbed the guy.

The knife is the trademark of british teens, along with the cigarette and the Nike tracky-bottoms. It's not like he was some serial killer who was on drugs or something. It's what kids these days DO. If they're not having children at 12, stealing sweets from Londis or having a fag behind a dumpster, they're stabbing someone in the streets with a knife.

well what does he expect, he's buying Grand Theft Auto... at least get your dad to buy it or something... jeeze kids these days are REALLY stupid. But hey, I can buy a GTA game no problem. A lot of the time I don't even need an ID. All I need to do is wait 2-3 days for my beard to grow back. Like, one time, when I bought GTA SA, i took it to the counter, and this is what happened:

worker: *not looking at my face* that'll be £14.99 please
me: *hands money*
worker: it's an 18, you got an ID?
me: ...
worker: *looks at my face* ah, ok. *fills in receipt*
me: thanks *walks off with game*

it was so awesome. What made it EXTRA-awesome is that it was on my 15th birthday. :p Basically I could buy anything if I let my 'stache grow. Downside is, people always ask me to buy drugs and alcohol for them <_< (i never do, of course) and having a beard is not pleasant at all, itches like hell. :mad: But yeah, unless they wouldn't give me the game without an ID, i could get the game without any problems. Early puberty kicks ass!

lol, which reminds me, this kid at my school, he's 15, turning 16 in a few months, bought a 12-rated game from a store, and they asked him for ID and everything. They wouldn't let him buy the game until his age was confirmed, it was so funny.

95% of stors in America do ask you for ID. But movie stores like Suncoast don't care if you buy R rated movie. I saw a 14 year old kid buy a Hentai (Anime Porn) box set.

Im 18 now so im old enough to buy it but still, back then it felt great:)
I also betted on a football (soccer) match when I was 17 without getting ID'd.
