"Battle for VGboxart 2006" Contest :D

Hey I think we should have an conest for fun, like they have on other site...to should your skills, and for pratice.

It will be an 12-man conest.

First Round- 1 vs. 1 matches (6 matches)
Second Round- Winners- 1 vs. 1 matches (3 matches) / Losers- 3 vs 3 matches
Finals- Winners- 3 for all match (1 vs. 1 vs. 1) / Losers- 3 for all match (1 vs. 1 vs. 1)

Extra Round- Comeback Match (Winner Vs. Loser)


Basically this torunament is all about boxart.
how it works is that I will pick an catorgory with rules, (boxes, system, 2d art, 3d art, etc,)
I'll give you three days to make it, by the deadline, PM or email it to me...then in the Rounds thread, the community/memebers will pick who wins by the first one who get 7 votes. (voting is by posting and you have to have an reason why you pick it)

EXAMPLE for Rules-

Title- Winners-Round 1
Rules-
Any Type of Game or Console
No 3D Boxes
No Renders
Custom Logo
Full Cover

EXAMPLE for Voting-

Post1-

Bob VS. Craig

Reply1 that will be accepted-

I vote for bob because he box is great and there are no flaws to it.

Reply 2 that will not be acceoted-

I Hate box, so I pick Craig.

(remember, the first one who get 7 votes, will win that round.)

Basically...I will, for each round, pick an topic, and rules for you, that everyone will follow when making the box.

Here a Exmaple.

Game Series: Any One.
Console: Wii
2d or 3d box: 2d
Front or Full cover: Front only
Graphics, Images, Etc.: 3d images only
Logo: Offical
Extra: none

Then I would make an Front only box, that is 2d. make it with the Wii template and only use 3d images and characters and offical logo.

That's means like only 3d renders or screenshots from games that are 3D.

2D images will refer to drawed images and 2d characters.

Wicked should'nt be able to participate in the competition, he would own a few people and that would'nt be fair;)

but seriously I know I'm never going to win this, this is to help me get experience and for fun also Bob has really impressed me lately, there is no way he's ''screwed because of the general'' it will be a close battle between us two I can gurantee, I've not made a box for a while (working on 4 though) so I admit to a degree I've been more about words than actions so I have a lot to live up to.
I can feel the pressure. :o
