As the interview says...Kojima is a perfectionist. Heck, I remember a story where he really pushed his team to get Snake's breath to show up in the cold in MGS1, even if doing so would decreased the quality of the game's graphics by a lil bit.The 10 steps he was talking about is quite possibly the most realistic you can get in any game today.

So I wouldn't be worried whether MGS4 will be "good enough" or not. In fact, such words from a genius like Kojima only makes me crave the game even more, knowing they really did push the ps3 to its limit.

Which is the reason why I want the PS3, to play that game. Knowing that the Metal Gear games are generally known for quality and Kojima having the talent to make these game that generally push the consoles to their limit.

Same here. There are also couple other games i'm interested in (Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ratchet & Clank).

Well maybe to it's current limit, i still believe the PS3 can achieve more than MGS4, none the less i will still buy it but i don't think MGS4 will be the limit for what the PS3 can actually achieve.

This game will be amazing, it's one of the three biggest games of 2008, the other two being SSBB and GTAIV. There's no way it could possibly fail. But seeing as how he is obsessed with perfection, being the modern genius he is, I can kinda expect that. He, Shigeru Miyamoto and Hironobu Sakaguchi are the best game designers around IMO.

I'm not excited about MGS4, really. I don't see the fun in running around boxes avoiding enemys. I dunno... I might rent it.

I remember in an interview with him during the early development of MGS3 that if fan's early feedback didn't like the jungle aspects of the gane (which is like 70% of it) he would have scrapped it. Hideo Kojima has always been his toughest critic so don't worry MGS4 is going to be awesome.

i remember hearing that if the sales are good enough he will release it on the 360, and donts say hed never do that as mgs2 appered on xbox, so why shouldnt this? he'd better do anyway, i am not wasting £300 to play one game no matter how awsome it is!

do you even know what the game is? Did you just like, see a single screenshot and let that decide what the entire game will be like? Even if you played the other MGS games, this game has much more combat/shooting.

I've seen some videos, but they're mostly just stealth. I guess it could be interesting, but it's really not my style.

Wait, there's a stealth-action game coming out this year that's NOT Splinter Cell: Conviction?

I never found MGS that fun (let me mention that I can see that they are extremely well done and that a lot of people llike them and I can see why), it's never clicked with me (like Fallout...loved the concept, couldn't get into the game)...

This is all a, I guess like a "publicity stunt". I've read the review in Edge and basically Edge are saying it's bollocks. You can easily tell they have twisted around Hideo's words a little bit you can easily tell. Well I think this is probably a selling scheme to get buyers thinking, why is it soo s*** and whats all the hype about, to purchase the game. Hideo was never satisfied with MGS3 too but look at that. Probably the one of the best MGS games in eternity. And look at MGS1. He was new to the business of gaming then (proper, not NES MSX type) and he shone the world with MGS1. It was a worldwide hit with a killer suspenseful plot. Let me get to the point here.

If Hideo had done it before, he can do it again. He basically the (well that guy that made the new King Kong) of video games. Yeah his name is Peter Jackson lol. If Hideo regards MGS4 to be bad, it'll probably be the best game ever cause you have to admit he always seeks for more like in MGS1 beta stages, hanging was cut out due to Playstation's capability.

Guys, dont cancell your pre-orders (ducks sniper shot) or lose any faith in MGS4 you can trust me. It'll be the best game ever. END
