hey, i just downloaded photoshop, how do i delete the background of stuff to make it a render? u kno? like isolate a certain part of the image, like u guys do with logos and what-not...how do u do that? wat tool?

There are several ways to do it. I'll assume you have CS2.

1. Use the Magic Wand tool and click on the parts you want to delete. Hold the SHIFT key to keep making a continuous selection.

2. Use the Pen tool and create a clipping path around the image.

3. Go under Filter > Extract and "color" in the parts you don't want and click ok.

ok, he's pretty much got it. i use the magic eraser most of the time.
