Xbox Live shooter tournament?

So I was thinking... They're a Brawl tournament going on right now and I know there's been a few other ones in the past (Mario Kart DS was one, I think)... So why not have one for something like Gears, Halo 3, or CoD4?

If you think it could work out, go ahead and say so and I'll put you on a tentative list. I guess the first thing that would have to be decided is what game to do it on.

Personally, I'd be up for a Vegas 2 tournament, but I don't think that many people would be getting it. Gears would work well too - I'm thinking if it's team-based, small teams (3-4) would be better. Which is why I was thinking of CoD4 - TeamTac FTW.

Aw....I wanted to play soo bad...but Ryan, as you know, my Live is messed up. I would have liked to participate in a CoD or Gears tourney (I <3 Gears to death...yea, I'm a nerd) But curse my luck. Anyways, I hope people sign up, and maybe I'll be able to go over to one of my friends house and take part or something.

And for the record, Halo 3 is dead. There are just a bunch of little girly-voiced 7 year olds who cuss too much playing it right now.

Yea, but it's not necciseraly the talking that pisses me off as much as that fact that a bunch of numbnut little kids that have the maturity of a 2 year old are playing a game that is clearly rated 17+

I don't know what people are talking about, almost every time I play Halo online, I am set up with mature, fun players who don't do annoying spam, aren't annoying 11 year olds (I've had encountered a few but not a lot, and some of them are cool little buggers).

I agree with you! Usually playing Halo 3 online is fine! But you do occasionally bump into some stupid, rude (usaully american) little kids that betray their own team mates for no reason:mad:

Maybe it's the Canadian connections we have up here, but seriously, there's usually ALWAYS around 6-7 of these fucking pricks whenever I set up a match. That's why I stick to Gears and CoD (soon to both be replaced by Vegas 2,) most of the young'uns don't have the skill to play either of them.

Looks like we're rolling with CALL OF DUTY 4. If you don't have the new maps, I'd suggest you go and get them soon. Team tac is the word - X teams of 3, depending on how many people sign up. We're gonna need to figure out when we want to do this - Right now, I think summer's our best bet.
