Resistance 2 has 8-player co-op. No matter how awesome Gears 2 will be, which'll be astronimically awesome, when it comes to multiplayer nothing beats Resistance 2. But having your friends play as Dom, Cole and Baird would be sweet. (Given Epic don't kill Baird off... if they do i'll do the same to them, except Cliff)

And besides, from what I've read about Resistance 2, the co-op isn't from the main story; it's "objective-based".

And besides, Gears has a better base for co-op play anyway because it's a squad-based shooter to start with.
