OK, so a lot of people here have different tastes in games. It would be nice if we could share some of our favorite games so that others could know if they are good games or not. I don't mean games like Halo that everyone will buy no matter what. I mean games like Fire Emblem, Beyond Good & Evil, games that few people have played.
For instance, Vengeance wants to know if the Fire Emblem games are good. I can personally guarantee that they are excellent, having recently played both of them for the GBA in the US. I did not think that I would like a strategy game, but Fire Emblem has so far been light on strategy and heavy on story, character development, and seems to be more of a tactical RPG than a strategy game. It was easy to learn, yet is a deep experience. I give it an 9.1/10, because though excellent, the animations and graphics could have been a tad better.
Now for a request: Has anyone played Phantom Hourglass? Does the touch control ruin the experience? Zelda is typically too fast-paced to work with such a system.

I lent Phantom Hourglass for a day, and I say it's pretty good, despite it's flaws. The Best feature in that game IMO is the map, you can draw on it so you can remind yourself to get back to a certain place after you get a certain item. Sailing in the game isn't a tetious as it was in Wind Waker, you can bombard enemies in your path even whil sailing, that because you first draw a path to where you want to go, and you're there.
The biggest flaws in the game are some of the touch screen moves sensors. There are times when you want to turn around in a 180 degree turn, but sometimes the game mistakes you for sharply turning around and instead performs a spin attack or attack something you don't want. Another minor flaw is that PH does not support the Directional pad at all.
But beyond those flaws, the game was enjoyable, and I'm saving up for it.
Request: Has anyone played Phoenix Wright? I heard that the games were good, but are they worthy enough to own?

007: Everything or Nothing is a great game, and the BEST Bond game. Better than Goldeneye. Granted, I haven't played Goldeneye since like...the 90s so I guess I can't guess, but if it is somehow not better, it's the 2nd best Bond game. My one strong dislike is you have to unlock, yes unlock, the multiplayer, I think by beating co-op (not 100% sure though, I'm still stuck on the last level of the single player campaign).
The King Kong game for 360 is actually really fun. I suppose it's fairly short and can be considered a little repetitive but I was surprised at how much I liked it. The visuals are amazing (I find myself often painting a cinematic picture, so to speak.) It's first person when you play as Jack (Driscoll) and 3rd-person when you play as Kong. The first person elements are really fun and the game combines adventure and first person shooter elements. There is no HUD in the game, you know when your hurt when you breath hard or there is red on the screen. Ammo is announced by Jack (for example, he might say "2 rounds left" when you change ammo). You have to hold the left trigger to keep your weapon out which is a tad annoying at first, but after the first level or so, you get used to it and actually grow to like it more than if it were toggle based.

Cruis'n is a really fun game to play. If you played the past games on the Nintendo 64 like I did I hope you like this too. It's a port of Raw Thrills The Fast And The Furious so that's I bought the game. Too bad that it's so short it takes about an hour to beat but at least you can run though the tracks over and over again to pratice next time if you go to Gameworks or something to play The Fast And The Furious. It has some smooth controls and a awesome gameplay but it kidda lacks of extras and such all it has is trailers of Midway's upcoming games like Game Party and such. It also haves a two player but I wish four player was there too which it sucks but it's more fun if you play it with friends. It may have bad graphics but it's overall a fun and good game to play if your bored and it cost thrity bucks.

ROFL @ Kirblore. Although Ranmakuu is entitled to his opinion, he really shouldn't give it because less than 1/16 of the people on this site are into those things.
Anyway, I really recommend Killzone: Liberation for those who have a PSP. Such a great game, decent story, incredibly fun.
For those who like science fiction, violence and/or RTS games, I highly recommend the WH40K: Dawn of War series, even to those who don't like WH40K. This game actually got my into WH40K lore.
As always I recommend Uncharted and Grand Theft Auto: VC and SA to those who haven't played them.

Jak X, for those who like racing games and lots of action.
Gun, for those who want a decent western adventure/shooter game.
Hitman 2, for those who like stealth games and a real challenge.
Kingdom Hearts 2, for those who grew up watching Disney movies and want a great platformer/RPG.
Final Fantasy X, for those who are newcomers to RPGs.
i'm currently thinking of buying Metal Gear Solid 3 and Destroy all Humans!

Get it. It's a great game. Not only that, but the game also sneaks in some witty humor, especially when Snake asks Para-Medic what each animal tastes like.

apparently the Subsistence version is better... because on Snake Eater you can't control the camera... although I could've bought SE along with DMC3 (which i bought the other day) for £20 (there was a deal, 2 for £20 or £12 each).

If you want a good game for the Xbox360 then i recommend Turok (2008). The game is tons of fun, it hard and the game offers a great challenge. The visuals are amazing and the controls are simple. If you like Turok on the N64 or like FPS then buy it. It a very good game ;).

i personally would still go with subsistence. its just an amazing game, its just sad that they took down online, but mgs4 is coming so thats amazing! :D the camera is the one main change, and its alot better. i cant imagine playing it from birds eye like in SE, just becasue the maps are more open in areas that you need a good view to see it.

I love that game so much, it's definetly one of my favorite Wii games and racing games. I don't care if it lacks a lot of depth, it's just flat out, good-ol' fashioned fun and that's what matters.

For anyone who hasn't played the Monster Rancher series, I highly recommend it. I know there are the people who just presume it's a cheap knock off of the Pokemon series, but it isn't. The games are quit unique all on it own. First off, is the way you create Monsters, by inserting CDs, DVDs, and Game disks into the Playstation/2 you make unqie monsters that are based off the disk, it's pretty cool to gather up all your games, and CDs just to see what monster you get. I also find the games more challenging than Pokemon in general, but just as fun.
If you are interested, get Monster Rancher 4. It's the best in the series, has a good story as well to the kick ass monster raising part. It's really fun, and the best in the series to date. Personally I recommend against getting Monster Rancher Evo (aka number 5), it has superb graphics, but it strays too much from the series in general to enjoy. If you want MR for the GBA, I recommend Monster Ranchers Advance 2.
A new Monster Rancher for the DS came out in Japan, and looks good too, haven't played it so can't really recommend it. But monsters are made by drawing, talking into the microphone, and it reading GBA games.

I remember Monster Rancher when i was 8 back in 1999. I doubt they still make games for it, the series pretty much died here in America.

They still make games,
Monster Rancher DS, came out half a year ago in Japan, and the last one released in NA was in '06.
Hopefully Monster Rancher has a strong enough fan following here to continue to get translations, if not. I will never get to play Monster Rancher DS and actually understand it. :(

^Ico is great game and Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction is tons of fun, so yes should get them.
Final Fantasy 12 is ok but i don't expect the same gameplay or the type of character development that the other 10 games had.

I'm wondering if I should buy the Ghost Rider game for PS2. I saw some reviews on Youtube and apparently it's not as bad as IGN says. I heard the gameplay is a lot like Devil May Cry and God of War so it sounds cool. Has anyone here played it?

hey, sorry for the bump, but just wondering, did anyone here play Rayman 3? I just had a brief flashback to playing the original game for my PS1, and I was wondering if I should check out other games in the series (not that Rabbids crap).

Marvel vs Capcom was AMAZING. I would spend hours at the arcade kicking Ryu's ass as Juggernaut. I hope they make a new MvC game, I'd like to see characters like Dante, Viewtiful Joe, Iron Man and Ghost Rider in the games.
