Official Devil May Cry 4 Thread

With Devil May Cry 4 coming out next week, i made this thread. I think the game looks great, i hope Nero is cool and not some annoying cocky teenage guy.

I can't wait to get it. Apparantly it haves some flaws but I don't give a crap, i'm a major DMC fan and i'm going to play my ass of on it.

I played the demo. It's freaking sweet. I'm really looking forward to this game. I love Dante's look in Devil May Cry 4. He looks more mature, yet still contains his bad ass attitude (which is a good thing). It sucks, 'cause my birthday's on the 2nd of February. The game comes out three days after.>:( Oh well.

DMC4 = freaking uber ownage
i got the game today and im a happy puppy , or a demon if you will , im at mission 12 and getting ready to kick some ass as dante :D my final rating is 9.0/10 it has removed a lot of the confusing puzzles that i hated and made them more easier, ahh i doubt anyone cares but i have the japanese version, all text and stuff are in english though.

Wow...I'm speechless. I just started, and only got to play for about an hour (fuckin' High School...) and I was just BLOWN AWAY. Graphics are flawless, controls are smooth, and Nero officially ranks on my Top 10 lists of most badass Protagonists. Seriously, you don't know what you're missing out on, get it now.

Gametrailers.com gave the game an 8.6/10. They said the camera was pretty annoying at times and Nero's devil bringer sometimes doesn't work properly, but its still worth checking out.

I was going to buy it today but i had a huge math project today! Once i got it done EBgames was close. Oh well i will get it tomorrow because i have no school tomorrow :).

First 6-hour DMC4 session behind me. The game is awesome. Nero is much better than I was expecting (I was expecting Tidus or Raiden). Graphics are awesome, soundtrack is awesome, gameplay is awesome. The lock-on system has a few issues sometimes. Also Nero's pistol seems quite useless for any other purpose than keeping enemies airborne. Looking forward for Lady.

I just got the game and so far is great. I love the combos (They where great), the graphics are very good and i love the cutscenes. I don't like the music that much.

Rigth now i'm at level 3.

Does anyone know how to opean the gate behide the door in Resident Tail District? I try everything and i can't get it opean (I even try the Devil trigger and it not working).

Gametrailers can kiss my ass. I got the game Sunday, and it's fucking awesome. Nero's camera works pretty fine, and his Devil Bringer too. I'm on mission 20. The last mission! Oh yeah. Dante is one major bad ass.:D

Only 20 missions?! :( i want to play the game but i still stuck on Mission 6 and my room is geting repainted and everything is in boxes.

DMC1 had 23 missions, and people said it was short. idk what to say.

20 missions isn't too short once you play on Dante Must Die. Currently stuck on mission 4 on Dante Must Die.

how do you unlock DMD, anyway, on any of them. I finished DMC1 a long long time ago and never got it. Do you have to get all S-ranks or something?

Well, on DMC4 you simply have to complete Devil Hunter and Son Of Sparda difficulties. In DMC3 on the difficulties Normal and Hard and I actually managed to clear the game on DMD also. For the two first parts I have no idea, as I haven't played them.

I've been playing this game on Son of Sparda mode a lot lately. I like it that you get to keep all your orbs, proud souls and weapons instead of having to get them all over again, adds much more replay value to the game as you can get more points, better scores, and you can buy the items you couldn't get the first time round. I actually think SoS mode is actually pretty easy if you already got almost every upgrade the first/second time round. Oh, and does anyone know why Bael appears white and aqua-blue on SoS instead of dark blue and red in Human and Devil Hunter?

Am I the only person who doesn't like Nero very much? He's cool at some points... but he reminds me of Sonic. Very cocky, makes a joke out of everything, etc.

I kind of hate Nero. Overly cocky at times, and some of his one-liners weren't even clever nor funny at all. Don't get me wrong. He's still a great character and all, but I don't like him THAT much. He stole Dante's spotlight. I mean, seven missions is not, and I repeat, IS NOT enough for Dante.

I sort of have an idea of who he really is though. He might be Vergil's son. Then that means... DANTE'S AN UNCLE?! EEK!

Vergil's son? what gave you that idea? The only thing connecting them is that they use(d) Yamato. Plus, Vergil's too evil to get laid. It's more like he's Dante's son. Check the spoiler thread for details.
