Help with image blending!

Ok, I have photoshop elements 4.0, and I really need to know how to blend two images together. I saw a video, and I followed along until he said go to Layer > Layer Mask, and I saw my version didn't have Layer Mask. Does anyone know another way to image blend or just how to blend on elements 4.0? Thanks.

take one image, have a kinda largish eraser with less opacity than 100% (make sure the eraser has a fuzzy egde around it, and erase the part that you want blended. It's a lot more work, but it's doable :D sorry

Okay, thanks and one more question, how do you get it to be fuzzy?

Go to the pull down screen in the brushes menu and the brushes palette should come up. Select the one that has a smooth (fuzzy edge) to it.
