Because I, for one, thought the VGBA awards came too early. And this one's just for boxes, whereas the VGBA awards included many different categories. Aight. Here are the categories:

And the criteria!

-Each box has to have been created in the year 2007.
-You may not nominate anything that you have done.
-While the boxes do not have to be in the Hall of Fame, that is a good place to look for boxes to nominate. However, it is strongly encouraged that you look beyond the Hall, because there are some gems that were created before the Hall system was put in place, which means that they probably didn't receive that designation.
-When nominating someone for boxartist of the year, remember- quality over quantity. Don't overlook an artist just because they don't submit a box every other day.
-Also pertaining to that particular award: It's more of an "MVP", if you will- that award should go to the person whose every box is fantastic.

I'll add more criteria and categories as I think of them.

If a box is submitted at 11:59 PM on December 31st, it's eligible. I'd suggest waiting until the last possible moment to get yer nominations together. I'm only posting this now so that you can start thinking about what- and who- you want to nominate.

ONE LAST THING: Each nominee needs to have at least 15 nominations to be considered, so every vote counts!

I mean, a box that thinks outside of the box. (Um, no pun intended.) A box that's creative. A box that does what no other box did.

In short, a box that didn't follow the norm.

You CAN vote for one box in multiple categories, but that box can't WIN in multiple categories. For instance, the box that receives the most votes for best unofficial is immediately disqualified from winning any of the other awards.
