how do you make box art not on paint?

i make boxes on paint. and it's not helping my box art career. i understand that people say go to gimp or paint.net. i am just a complete doofis because i dont know how to work gimp or those other places. and photoshop costs money. so how?

Go on google and look up 'Gimp tutorial' and learn. OR ask one of us.

But not me. I only know how to use Photoshop and you don't have that.

You can learn Gimp tutorials or ask questions from Gimp users like MugglesMan or Radioactive Bob.

Even in PhotoShop was free, you'd still have to learn how to use the program. All of this takes time, but you do need to be patient: keep using the program, mess around with all the tools and effects it has, try out new ideas and follow tutorials for extra hints.
