Okay, so my dad said that I could probably get Photoshop if I wanted, but I need to know, which Photoshop is the one you can use to edit photos and create boxes? If somebody could give me a link to where I can find the right one, that'd be great.

Photoshop CS3 drained all of my hard earned cash. I got Cs3 at best buy for $600. It was worth it though.

Make sure that you've got at least 1 to 2 gig of RAM too. CS3 is even more RAM hungry than it's predecessors.

any cs version is good (there's not much difference from CS1 - CS3 really)
even 7.0 is alright.

I use CS (8.0) :)

Lies.

Even CS2 and CS are way different. Not speaking of CS - CS3 differences... Tho, to make boxes you dont need stuff in CS3. I mean like...new curves dialog will improve your boxes? noep.

I've also used cs2 and cs3 :)

They are not WAY different at all. All the basics are still there, and what I was able to do in cs2, I sure was able to do in cs. It's just a matter of the latter versions making tasks easier and more efficient, but you can still do it in the earlier versions, it just takes more time and effort.

In fact I kinda like the interface of cs better than cs2. Though, I must admit cs3's interface is really nice and the logo isn't too bad either :)
