Well, as you all know, I basically suck at box arts since I'm stuck with Paint and no knowlage of GIMP. So, I was just wondering if someone could help me out. What I need is:

1. Some kind of decnt FREE/cheap program that I can use to create reflections.
2. Some kind of FREE/cheap program I can use to make boxes 3D.
3. Some kind of FREE/cheap program I can use to cut and blend stuff better.

I'm in desparate need of these things, since I'm really bad at boxes and I know I'm not going to improve without these things, I'm afraid I'm not gonna waste my or anyone else's time with my boxes, so until I either understand GIMP better or I get this stuff, I'm just gonna be commenting and favoriting boxes instead of actually making them.

1:GIMP
2:IMANDIX
3:GIMP

learn how to use GIMP, and you'll get better.

For number one, learn how to use GIMP.

For number two, use IMANDIX.

For number three, either of those programs work.

EDIT: HOLY SH#$! I posted the same thing, at the same time as DeathSpawn!

Alright guys, is there any kind of tutorial that can help me understand GIMP better? Because it's pretty complicated.

There might be a tutorial that comes with it.

^ Completely right ^

You need to tinker around with the different knobs and buttons and stuff. Have fun, enjoy it. LalLALA. la.

I have one more question for you guys, how do you add a glow effect to logos, characters, etc.? Is that something you need Photoshop for or can you do that in GIMP too?
