if you mean like turning everything black to white or vice-versa than it's ctrl+i

photoshop cs (8.0)
instead of ctrl + i, you could also invert it in "blending mode"

You can also click on the Invert Colors button

I have 4.0 .... there is no blending mode....there's no feather option.... there's no invert button.... no pen tool....If I make a mistake while rendering with the polygonal lasso, I have to start over, not just undo the last click...

I think you should invest in a newer version, Koopa :p
...at least to CS (8.0)

I got CS2 at one point last year.... I didn't like it. I have gotten used to all of the keyboard shortcuts in my version, and how to do different things, and they were either non-existent (keyboard shortcuts) or I didn't know where they were. Like, the bounding box. When I got CS2, there was no bounding box. So just to be able to move a picture, I had to hit Ctrl T. And then you couldn't hit Esc to cancel a selection, couldn't hit delete to undo the last click in a selection, etc. So I got rid of it. It was too much of a hassle.
