today, I woke up, and checked the demos on XBL marketplace and said "fuck!" very loudly (not loud enough for anyone sleeping upstairs to hear of course) the Bioshock demo is out!!! and I must say its the best game I've played for 360. its graphics skewl Gears, its story seems really deep, I want to play through the demo again! you get 3 weapons and 2 plasmids through the demo, all of which seem pretty effective. the game also has some horror to it, not cheesy jump out and scare you horror but "omg whats gonna happen, whats gonna happen!?!??!" horror. overall I give the game a 9.8 so far. so discuss the demo if you've played it build up the hype w/e

Psychological thriller maybe. I'm also gonna get this game for PC its in my top 10 gonna get list but i was kinda disappointed with that trailer it was all shooting and I'm hoping for little adventure in it. And I heard on vgchartz that its not very scary. I'm confused

yea i heard the news of the demo being out on XBL...can't wait to get my DSL connection up and running tomorrow and download that damn demo :D also Bioshock is one of my Top Anticipated Games for 360.

Bioshock is a "spirtiual" successor to System Shock. Not a direct sequel.

You can even tell by the look of the games. Bioshock - underwater utopia with mutated people where as System shock took place on a spaceship with space marines/aliens/abominations.

Bioshock is altogether a new game.

Can you tell me is it just another shooter where you shoot everything that moves (Serious Sam type) or does it have a lot of adventure or RPG elements in it (Deus Ex or Metroid Prime type)

Well I only played the demo but I know you can upgrade weapons and stuff like that. The story is going to be very intracate and will for a fact be one of the best games this year.

Yeah the demo was good. I wish it wouldn't have just ended like that though hahaaha. but it's cool, and the little video at the end with all the scenes from the actual game was so tight. Im super excited about this game.

i got it 2 hours before you :D
already beaten it today and replaying 1 second later :p .. oh and the final boss wasn't hard at all but i can't say that for sure cause i was on easy mode, great ending too ^^ i didn't harvest any little sisters but saved them so i got a 100G Achievement for doing so :) ... gonna pick up the limited edition tomorrow , my store haven't received the LE yet so having one of the store staff tilling me that it's the last copy they had for the normal edition got me to say ( Fuck it i can get the LE later !)

Pwnge is the best way to describe it. Though the plane crash intro was too abrubt... Something happening on the plane would have been nice. Is anything like that in the actual game?

nope not at all but through playing the game you well find some stuff concerning the plane crash. but other than that the game tells the story very well so you won't get confused if you constantly keep picking up radio messages of rapture residents.

I just play Bioshock and it was ok. The story was hard to understand and the gameplay get borning pretty fast.

I played it yesterday ! It's one of the best FPS I've never played. I don' t really like FPS but this one is awesome.

Graphics : Really cool wonderfull environment. Foes design is awesome ! 5/5
Sound : Sometimes you can heard little melody. But the council of your company are in your language (translate in French for me :p ) ! 4/5
Gameplay : Really easy to move and aim. But a little adaptation time is required. After it : pure happyness ! 5/5
Fun : Really cool game probably the most serious challenger for Halo 3 or Crysis. 5/5

I bought Bioshock about a week ago, installed it yesterday and played it few hours. Its a very good game. Its definitely not revolutionary or anything, It has a LOT of elements taken from other FPS games like Deus Ex and Half Life which to younger audience may look like new. If it had futuristic design I would actually said that its a pure Deus Ex/Invisible War rip-off. But anyway it has very good gameplay and I like the design its very different than most of todays monotone shooters, all that 50's stuff
I still have to finish game to make final judgment, btw Im saving all little sisters.

I cant believe it, there is some damn bug on Neptune’s Bounty that makes you have more than 3 sisters on that level and it should be just 3 of them. Yesterday I was playing that level and saved all 3 sisters, then I saw big daddy and 4th little sister, and menu showed that I saved all of them so logically I thought it was some kind of bonus sister or something that I found and I was like Woo Hoo! Whose the man!? Then when I was about to finish level game said “you did not rescued or harvested all little sisters…” and then I knew something went wrong cos I lost a whole hour following Rosie’s and looking for 5th sister and she isn’t even there so I checked and fined out it was a bug that appears on both versions of game.
But I didn’t find out will this affect my ending cos I didn’t want to start over and I went to next level and I’m still saving all little sisters.
You or someone else heard anything about this, will it affect my ending?

finished the bioshock 20 minutes ago, ive got a good ending. So if you are planing to play game and save all little sisters on Neptunes bounty make sure to save four sisters cos Tanenbaum (or whatever her name was) will send you teddy bear 2 times, meaning that total amount of adam on this level if you save all sisters is 720 lol

well we can now talk about game and gameplay, the tricks you found and so on.
My favorite way to get money is by making two daddy's fight. You need to have plasmid that makes big daddy think that you are his little sister. So you hit him with this plasmid then quickly search for another big daddy and attack him. Then your big daddy will start to protect you from the other one and it doesent matter which one wins cos he is going to have just little health and one electric buck should be enough to finish him and you have easily earned 100+ dollars

Although I dont like killing big daddy's they are just protecting little sisters and dont harm anyone, why do I have to kill them?:o

yeah i ran into that when i was replaying the game on hard mode , i saved all the little sisters on the level yet i saw one extra little sister , but don't worry though you don't have to save all of them to get the good ending, also there is an evil ending & a sad ending
Evil ending - Harvest all little sisters and not save any
Sad ending - Harvest & rescue all little sisters
though the sad ending is almost like the evil ending.
