View Full Version : Complete tutorial on how to make a professional-looking boxart.
So ok, ive been browsing the site for two days and noticed that many boxes just lack...creative ideas and...well they have no design at all. Because of that i thought it would be nice of me to write a complete tutorial on how to make a professional, cool, unique, etc box. I thought that discribing how i made one of my boxes would be enough, but first i want to know - do you guys want me to do this or no? Tutorials take a lot of time to make, so i don't want to waste my time on making something useless.
If you do want it, then pick any box from my page and i will write a detailed tutorial based on that box.
PLUR.

I reckon this is a good idea, since you're a talented box artist, you'll probably get a lot of request as well :P. Just wondering could you make a tutorial how to make good borders for screenshots?

you could've just asked me how I do things like that >_>
I go into quick mask mode, color in everything I want using a polygonal lasso with 1 pixel feather and the Fill tool. then after I'm done with that I exit quick mask, and just press delete and I get my render.

Well, I can't explain other artists' boxes...well, technically i can, but i don't want to take someone's work. Choose from my own collection plz.

Use Filter-Sharpen-Sharpen. Or just a sharpen brush.

This seems like a great idea. Good job, Feed.
BTW, that font you used in the "guilt is a chilling feeling" part for the back cover of your Indigo Prophecy box is the coolest font-type I've seen. What's it called?

To be honest...I don't know.. ) Don't remember, actually. I know I found it on dafont.com, look for it there.

Little bit offtopic i think but...What would be nice size for box? Pixels.
1500*1000 for full, printable 2D box
Well I'm looking forward to your tutorial. It might be made a sticky.
