You know, it would be a lot easier for me to send you my logo if you would give me a minute to get on the site. I'm not on it 24/7 like I used to be. This is the first chance I've had to respond to anything.
To those of you wanting the logo, I sent it to you.

I hope I'm not offending you by saying this, CMT, but:
When you make logos for someone else.....I think it's best to hold yourself to a higher standard than you normally would have for your own work. Take your Phoenix Wright logo, for instance. It's good. But you should have done a little research into the game. Had you done that, you would have known that the Phoenix Wright series chooses to use subtitles for different entries in the series, rather than just "Wii" to show that it is a Wii game. Had I done the logo, I probably would have made up a subtitle, such as Phoenix Wright: Case Closed, or something of that nature. Do you see what I'm saying? I just think it's a good idea, when you're doing work for someone else's box, to put as much effort into making it perfect as possible. I noticed when I did the logo store back earlier this year that you tend to go for quantity over quality. You tend to churn out logos at an incredible speed, but that are of....questionable quality. Now, you may disagree with me, so you can take or leave what I'm saying.

I like making logos, more than I like making boxes even, but I can't do it. I have to concentrate on my classes right now, get my grades up. You're doing a good job, and I know there is a need for custom logos on this site. Just try and do the best job you can do, without cranking out logos as fast as possible. People are willing to wait a little longer if they know the end product is better. Also, pay attention to how logos are done. Like your New Super Smash Bros logo. First of all, he wanted a new mario bros logo, but messed up on his post. But that's not the point. The point is that you did not use the same type of fond for Smash Bros as you kept for Super. Consistency is the key. Just experiment with different techniques. For my Beyond Right and Wrong logo, for instance, I used a font I already had, and added a tad more to the letters to keep them in the same style as the first logo. Then a gradient finished off the look. Just practice as much as possible, and try to stay true to the original logo you are doing.

i like the logo but i think your box could use more creativeness, it has to put of that yellow background. looks cool and all though but idk i think it needs a background. i have a bunch of boxes I've made but there all on myspace. I'm not going to post them. i even remade a couple boxes with a new template i made from scratch.

Practice makes perfect. I actually prefer doing logos over boxes. I don't seem to be getting any better at making boxes, whereas my skill with the logo blade gets better every time, at least in my opinion.

Thank you, thank you. *Bows*

And that, ladies and germs, is why I am not posting any more boxes on this site. I was just trying to be creative with that box. Try to make it look like a drawing on parchment paper. I'm not Wickedgamer, HK, Slinger, or any of those guys who are photoshop gods. I know it's not perfect. I was trying something new that I had no idea how to do. I'm tired of my boxes being bashed because they can't compare to everyone else's on the site. When I first started on this site, it was all about the art for me. I've always been leaning towards image manipulation over sheer high definition. But that is what this site has become. It's high-def over artistic value. I want my boxes to be judged for their own merit, not for their quality in comparison to the elites on the site. With that said, if and when I make any boxes in the future, you can find them here: www.deviantart.com

i like it man don't get me wrong but on most boxes don't have a plain and solid background on front and back, idk i'm sorry I'm so mean i guess...i don't post boxes anymore either there all on myspace. i have like 3 or 4 i haven't posted.
like i work so hard on my boxes and do so much work into mine and it doesn't get the credit it should. I'm sorry but that Mario galaxy box was just a wallpaper with a couple edits and i posted a full fallout 3 with a bunch of work into it and it only got "its blurry" for comments. I'm sorry i'm not a rich kid and can go buy vista and have imandix. i have a old computer and i have to work with it.
p.s. your logo is realllllly good.

I wasn't trying to blow up on you. It was nothing against you. It's just sort of been building up for a while now. I agree with you, though. Boxes don't get credit like they should anymore. The Hall is corrupted, tainted worse than a Bonds record. Every time I've posted a box this summer, it gets on average five comments. And most of them say "It's good. 4.5/5" OOKKKK.....why the .5 off? No comment on that? And I don't have Vista either, and my version of photoshop is as old as dirt. It came with the computer. Thanks for the comment on the logo, though. I'm working on another one you might like ;)

well I'm working on a box that is far from finish and I'm not going to post unless i think it can get HoF, and yes the HoF is corrupted its either the mods or popular people that get a fav. most people hate me because i say what i feel. i remember when you could say what you want and most people were happy with that.

How noble of you to say your work is better and more deserving. A number of people here have the same crappy attitude.
It doesn't matter how long it took, or how many components make it up, or if it's high-def (wtf?), what matters is the end result.

Nonsense. Saying what you feel is not a free ticket to say whatever you want. Sometimes you are simply mean and inconsiderate. Why would anyone be happy with that?
It's fine if you don't like a box, but you have to be considerate and constructive about it.
And most of them say "It's good. 4.5/5" OOKKKK.....why the .5 off? No comment on that?
That is annoying. A lot of people here seem to have a high opinion of themselves, and feel that they are an expert and can go around and ramble off an arbitrary score and not back it up with anything.
Notice that most of the top respected members post more constructively than that.

The end result, huh? So when I posted a Mario Kart box that was a "wallpaper", on a template with a logo, and people bashed it, it was because it didn't look good? Funny....most of the comments said they didn't like it because they had seen the image too many times and that it was just a "wallpaper". However, when I posted my Zelda: Dawn of Evil box, which took me over a week to make, or my second Mario Galaxy box, which had hand-drawn art for everything on it, then those boxes received extremely high marks, even though I know they are both nowhere near my best work, because they looked great. Does that make any sense? Should it not be that the box with the more official, consistent art receives the higher ratings, instead of the box with the week-long-to-draw art that looks nothing like the official art?

Well, I frown on those types of comments.

It doesn't matter if it's official or not. What matters is how good the box looks as a whole and how it all fits together. But if you're able to integrate good custom work, then that's a bonus I think.

umm there is a bunch of people on here that just take a image from google and paste it under a template they didn't even make and get more favorites then when i draw, cut, remake, and make things and have a 20 layor picture that took 2 weeks and people don't like it, and then there is the people that drive me crazy that post 10 wrestling boxes in 1 day because all they did was put a character on a black background with a non cut out logo and then i cant say anything but nice things..

Isn't that what he was saying? Most of the boxes you just mentioned as made by other people look like crap, and get comments that reflect that.

what he was saying is i shouldn't think my 20 layer photoshop 2 week long box is better than a 5 min 1 character 1 logo on a black background is better when i know it is and it gets better comments, i think we should have a freedom of speech and be able to say what we want. i feel like going crazy with having to be nice or i get banned.

5/5 means perfect in most people senses and not all boxes, no matter how great they are, can truly be perfect, in some peoples opinion.

I'm not making logo's anymore. I posted a thread to announce that, but no one ever saw it. I have too much on my plate at the moment to be able to make logos. If you'll notice I haven't even made any boxes in a very long time.
