Is it in space?

I wanted to make the background space, because there will probably be a moment including a space-area in the game.

I'm gonna be blunt with you, I don't think this has much potential. The background is crappy, the renders are weirdly sized and placed. I know this is in the very early stages but as far as I can see, it can't be something great.

Meeeh, I'll try to re-arrange some things and see how it goes.

If the game MAY have one level in space, I don't think space should represent the whole game by being the main point of the front. You want the box to show what the majority of the game will be like.

I'm glad you took it well. I can tell that people are thinking the same things as me but are too afraid of hurting the artist to say anything but I see it as giving proper and true critique.

I'm not going to start attacking somebody because they didn't like my box. XD
But anyways, if I did get rid of the space background, what would you suggest I switch it out with?

I have no idea, I've never played the first one. Maybe a stage or something?

I would do something along the lines of Splash Hill, but then it'd just be Sonic and Tails.

Well, here's my ORIGINAL idea, I just couldn't find a template to put it in...

Wow. That is good.
Besides the bluriness, that is a great design.

So, is this better than the first, if so, ideas for the back?

Alright Update, it features a back and a spine. (Due to me wanting the box to be 3D, if anyone would be able to do that for me, I would be very thankful. I'll give you credit as well. =U)

The text is pretty much a place-holder until I find better text though.

The spine is upside down and both PS3 logos are way too big.

Alright, I'll fix the PS3 Logo issue, and what do you mean by the spine being upside down?

Shrunk the logos a bit.

The text is facing the wrong way. The spine should be opposite, see:

Notice the spine. Yours is backwards/upside-down/whatever.

Both logos on the spine are too big. I recommend you get a real template and then mark out the spine and resize the logos to that size. It's looking pretty good.

I was going for a bigger spine so I could make the front and back a little smaller, but I don't know if it would look any good if I shrunk the spine too much. =U
