(This box is in its very early stages)
Here's the original: http://vgboxart.com/view/42025/t...sk/?replies=13
Well it was kinda hard to get this back together, because I have never played Majora's Mask and I could not recognize all of the characters on the back that broken made.
And the reason I changed the layout was because the original box wasn't that bad and if I were to use the same layout, I probably would have the back as good as good as the original.

Also could someone tell what those symbols stand for on the front of broken's box.

And Daemon, would you please notify me if I have changed too much. Because I would gladly start over if I have done so.

The symbols on the front don't really mean anything, they only appear in a very trippy part of the game. BTW, good luck man.

I wish you could have ran with the idea for the original front more. Design-wise, the original box was really cool. It just wasn't executed very well.

The colored symbols appear to be an important element of the original cover, and I think you should find a way to implement them in yours.

That's what I did first but I didn't like it so I scraped it.
Here's what it looked like:

Edit: Ignore the borders I will fix them later.

That would look good, except you did nothing to blend them. Something similar to this would look better

Thanks for the advice and the example :), and you made them more transparent right?
Also should I add more symbols to the front or are there enough already?

Well, I actually couldn't make them more transparent cause I don't have the psd, but basically it's the same effect. And yeah, it could use more both in quantity and variation. It would be cool if you threw in a few symbols that represent Zelda items. You know, ocarina, slingshot, things like that.

Added more symbols to the front like bow and shield, and added a template because that is one of the complaints I get on my boxes. So what do you guys think, should I leave the template as it is?

Looking good! I would get rid of the separator between the artwork and the temple, and change the color scheme of the template to a gray-ish color.

I dig it. The text on the back template is extremely blurry though

Two quick things:

1) Try to overlay the texture you're using for the front's background on top of the template. Right now, the template looks abnormally clean compared to the rest of the box.

2) The border is a bit thick. If it was about half the thickness, it would look a lot better

Otherwise, I think it looks fantastic

I think this looks fantastic! All I have to say that hasn't said yet is, on the front, Link looks a little to light in the color, maybe just dessatturate him a little, and I mean a little tiny bit.

And NARETO if I make link darker he looks really odd because the fairy is bright and he is dark. It seems like no light from the fairy has been reflected on link. And if I make link darker I would have to make skull kid darker as well and he too has the fairy next to him. Anyway thanks for the comment.

I'm not entirely sold on the desaturated template. I almost think a more muted red would have sufficed, but it's your call. I do, however, feel you should darken the cover itself. Specifically, the front right side, progressively brightening towards the left. At the moment, it's pretty obvious that Skull Kid is just sort of... floating there, and darkening the image could give off more a mysterious vibe seen in the original. Maybe keep his eyes unchanged, so they stand out in the darkness?

Tried that but the other half looks to plain.
It looks something like this:

Maybe I made it too dark.
