I saw TehPurpleOnes' LoZ:MM 3DS box on the main page http://www.vgboxart.com/view/44902/the.legend.of.zelda.majoras.mask.3d/?replies=0#lcomm, and as I was looking at the box, I saw that the back was lacking in a quality image of Majora. So, I offered my assistance in getting one for him, I looked through my collection of Zelda walls and found one to be satisfactory, but it had some of the same issues as the one he used on his box. I figured I would try my hand at making some edits to the picture, to see if I could remedy those problems, but honestly I'm no professional when it comes to art. So, I figured I could start a kind of WIP thread for this Wallpaper; post the original and then post the incremented steps towards a completed Wallpaper for a Fellow Legend of Zelda Fan. (I hope that this is alright , and I'm not violating any of the board's set rules.) This is the original Wallpaper I've decided to work off of. 12021 I'll post the WIP so far in a sec.

[EDIT]
Btw after this is done, I'll upload the full version to my DA account, from there it's free reign, all I ask is that you give me credit when/ if it's used.

Alright, so here is the Wallpaper WIP.
12025

I'm currently thinking the background's coloring should be darker, but I was trying to go off of the image ThePurpleOne used on their box, trying to keep it as similar as I can to that color scheme, so as not to ruin the flow of their box.

Any and all critiquing is welcome, like I said before, "I know I'm no pro when it comes to art"
But I do want to try and help this guy out if I can, and maybe you all can help me make that happen.

Looking slick.

Thanks, any suggestions? Or should I just keep doing what I'm doing?

Here's the newest update to the wall.
12027

I changed the colors used for the gradient background
I've almost completely gotten rid of the "presence" of the other characters that were in the original wall, but trying to make those "scratch" marks on the moon is frustrating.
I've also made a new borderline for the moon makes things easier when trying to color it if I don't have to worry about ruining the border lol.

Any and all critiquing is welcomed.

[EDIT]
I've already spotted and fixed a few errors near the bottom right of the moon, I hadn't realized that I made the new border too thin on that side.

Not a huge update, but one none the less.

I've fixed the edge of the moon, and darkened the "Root tree" as I've aptly named it (Bottom left plant), as well as added more detail to it. I still need to finish working on the "Tingle Doll" that's hanging from it. (Not sure if it is or isn't but I'm sticking with the name for now.)

I've also started working on recoloring the Mask

Here's the look of it so far.
12030

And as always any and all critiquing is welcomed.

Although this took me a while to update, not a lot has been done, honestly most of the time I spent after the last post was resting lol.

12031

Anywho, I've done some more mask work, drew the outline to Skull Kid (Wjich makes the picture look a lot cleaner imo), I also did some moon work; erasing some of the leftover pixels outside the border, and around skull kid. I almost forgot, I did some editing to the buildings on the bottom, I tried my hand at making them look cleaner and stand out more. I think I did a notable job so far, but I still need to work on the "Tingle Doll" (I might just take it out of the image all together, with the way it looks right now, it really clashes with the rest of the wall.)

As always comments and critiquing are more than welcome.

Today TehPurpleOne updated his LoZ:MM Box using this custom edited Wallpaper!
And as of now I feel very accomplished in the fact that I helped out a fellow Box Artist and Legend of Zelda Fan! XD

But I'm still going to work on it, I believe I can make this a lot better, so if you feel that I'm doing anything wrong or that there is something I should do on the image that I'm failing to do, please tell me. I will more than happily hear you out and take it under advisement.
