Luigi's Mansion 2 (SuperToad WIP)

Please don't ignore this! I'm trying to stick to this one, people often ignore my WIPs :(
Well, the basic idea is a Luigi's Mansion sequel (I've never played the original, BTW) on 3DS. Rumours have been floating around about this game for a while, so I thought I'd make a box. Comment and critique please! I made the Luigi render from two existing renders joined together, and the logo is custom too but I'm not sure it looks that good.
I'm also struggling with logo placement, so it is separate ATM.

Often? -removed- I have no idea who you even are and thus have no real incentive to help you. Give yourself some more time to settle in the community. Make a name for yourself, make some friends. Only then will you start to see some more support for your work.

Edit: I see you've been here for a year. But your involvement in the site has been very little. So I still hold to my statements.

If you think you can just walk in here, without anyone knowing you, throw some random WIP up, and expect to see tons of comments on your work, then you're in for some real disappointment.

As for your "box"(?). It's alright. There's no aesthetics issues; everything is nicely cut out, good use of opacity and masking. But the overall design is very generic. I've seen this kind of thing for Luigi's Mansion over and over; the darkness, the castle, Luigi running from the ghosts. It needs something to make it stand out from the crowd. And especially since you're making it a sequel. If the only difference from this being a Luigi's Mansion box is that you are throwing a 2 on the title than what really is the point? Be creative, work outside of your comfort zone. If you do this, I promise you will improve as an artist and receive the recognition you wish.

Ah my mistake about the time. Although I still believe that if you got more involved with the community you would see more support.

I'm not expecting to see tons of comments like on a WIP by someone such as YoshiStar, for example, it just disappoints me when I get no comments whatsoever.
I'll take your advice with the box and see what I cam come up with.

Yes, it probably does, but I'm trying to take stevencho's advice to make it more unique.

It's all a balancing act. You want to be unique, but at the same time you want it to look nice. I think this new box is very creative. It might not look as professional as the first one, but the fact you took the time to make your own work makes it more special to me. Thus, I like the direction you're taking. You got the creativity down and now you just have to work on cleaning some things up.

The Mario render looks perfect, but the Boo and Luigi renders look a little poor. I would make Boo more rounded and Luigi a bit skinnier. More like the official art. Either way, this is looking much better. Great work.

Another little update. The blue circles on the back show my plans for character position - I've drawn them out but my scanner isn't working at the moment, which is sadly delaying progress.

I really like this, all of the characters expressions made me smile. I would say to put the green logo with shadow back at the bottom where you had it in this shot:

But make it a bit smaller, but still centered, so we can see a bit more of Luigi. The back in also very expressive, but the layout is a bit 'plain and simple'. You should look at some other DS/3DS boxes and look how the backs are laid out. Then try to emulate one of those.
