I'm sorry, I know I'm taking this too seriously, but I really think this 1-5 rating system needs to be upgraded to 1-10. I don't think some people are really taking into consideration that "5" is a PERFECT score; that means everything, EVERYTHING is flawless, and could be considered official. Now, I know I may of given some boxes 5s, but some were due to farewell projects and etc. I know that if the rating system was changed to 1-10, people would understand the "sacredness" of 10. I know a lot of people don't really care, so why not? That way if someone gets a 10, it will feel that that person deserved it. Thanks! HM

I agree that’ll it be nice to have more accurate way to make sure boxes like Invader Zim doesn’t get to be in the highest rated, because its tedious that it’s higher rated than some of the most talented people’s work and it makes the advantage of top rated boxes giving recognition to the effort filled boxes feel pointless. A piece of art can be fantastic with flaws or without; having no flaws just affects has a deciding factor to this quality.

If a box has a too small company logo but is brilliant in still amazing in design, it’ll get a five. I never thought as five rating as perfect, I thought it as awesome. The top 5th level of quality, rather than being meaning perfect or flawless.
That way of thinking is that no matter how flawless a box can be, its doesn’t mean its highest level of quality or enjoyment you’re get from looking, flawlessness can contribute to how good a box is, but is the box is bland, it would not be not in the top level of quality, simply because that box is too simple to get that enjoyment even if its flawless and simplicity isn’t always a flaw even if its relevant. I would apply that way of thinking to a 10 rating system aswell.

I actually like the 5/5 system because it simplistic and subtle unlike the 10 system, the 10 system may be more accurate but its un-subtlety makes it outweighed and out beaten by the five system in my opinion

I tend to prefer a 10 scale, but what happens is that everyone ends up using 6-9 anyway.

I think adding half points might be good though. So you have: 1 - 1.5 - 2 - 2.5 - 3 - 3.5 - 4 - 4.5 - 5

But anything more than that, and it's probably overkill.

And EG is right, 5 shouldn't mean absolutely perfect. You'll never use the entire scale then.
