This is a new box I'm going to use as a big comeback!

So basically your making Paper Mar... I mean Metroid. Also it looks kinda chopy. Are you using the Pen tool?

Looks nice, but why? This new style won't fit Metroid at all.

Simplified, cartoony designs don't fit well with a Metroid game. And if this is supposed to be the original Prime, that render is incorrect as it's from Prime 2.

I respect your choice to make this, but please thing about it before you go ahead with it and spend possibly hours on this. Do you REALLY want to make a cartoon Metroid box, or is this just to fit in with the other custom boxes on the site?

I don't understand this whole Essence dealio, but you have to really think about this. I think it'll look nice, but it wouldn't be Metroid.

Your comeback box really shouldn't be a cartoonish essence box. I'm sorry, but that's how I feel. :(

I also don't get why everyone is too negative...beardedwalrus, YoshiStar, you're both INCREDIBLE artists. Instead of laughing at him or mocking him, why not try to help him better the art?

Idea isn't really too good is what we're saying. You can still make it, it's just a bit ridiculous. Also, essence does not mean cartoonish or sillouhettish.

It being an essence design is not a good reason to make a cartoon-style Metroid box, that's not the point of essence anyway. Seriously, I don't see this working with Metroid at all, especially with the Prime games, as they have a much darker and more realistic visual style.
