ok i'm using Gimp, how do i make Transparent layers, (ex.) i'm making a wwe smackdown vs. raw 2008 box and i want the symbol to blend in to my surroundings everytime i add the logo though, it has a white background behind the image, how do i get rid of this and blend it in with the background of the box? please help thanks!

oh well grap out your magic wand tool set it to a feather of about 5 then select the white region around your logo and hit ctrl+K if it has lines around it just box cut those out

ok i did what you told me, and i still can't add it to my pic without the white box behind it, what do i do now?

cut-out the logo while it's on top of your box layers.
