This site was so nice! What the hell happened?

There are around 5 ABSOLUTE newbies that have joined recently.
And they are all submitting what is quite frankly shit.

There aren't any bloody places for us to put our good quality box arts, the places get nearly instantly replaced by their so called "box art".
They Spam up the portal with useless box art that took them kess than 10 minutes to get the pictures, use a ready-made template, and use the most basic photoshop effects.

Its terrible to think that these people rank their work as "good". I wouldnt even rank it as "Art" LET ALONE THE RANK "BOX ART".

I will not name the users, but most of you know who they/you are.

But the thing that most anoys me, is that they will keep on doing it and we cant stop them.

Dead is right. I am by no means a great box artist, but at least I don't fill the space with crap. It's fine if you submit box art just limit yourself. Take some time. Remove white borders, edit images, add some effects, look over it, redo it better, look again, and if you like submit it. Take time. These should not be thrown together. Again I'm not great, but leave room for the masters like: dead Pix, lodo, hellknight, massacre, and the other original posters. Don't stop posting, stop posting so much.

Yea i also agree with you 100% in the past say 2 weeks there have been more 'Box Arts' (if you can call them that) submited than the 2 - 3 weeks prevoiulsy. Not naming any names but one of the newest additons to the site has posted almost 3/4 of the material i have posted since January IN 2 WEEKS ! i think its pathetic and it needs to stop. Either they need to stop posting or stop posting so many, im getting tired of coming on here day to day and seeing crappy designs by the same newb its realy annoying

To all who posted, I agree,
These newbs our starting to piss me off.
Come on, at least post an couple of good boxarts, not a hell of alot of crappy ones. I can say I'm not the best one here, but atleast I know my limits. (and atleast I put time into making them, and when I do, I make good/great ones)

And to Lodovicok,
I agree and hope that mav_wolf has left for good.

Noobies are natural on a popular site so this is a sign the site is getting more popular.:)
Sadly we're just experiencing a noob season.

Let them learn from their mistakes and there will be good boxes.

If they do not; harshness and ignorning the crap will make it go away, after all noobs won't put spam on if they're not getting attention and will leave, they deserve it their contribution is just tarnishing the quality.

I'm new, and try to make fantastic boxarts, somehow the wave newbe's is really irritating me. What I mean is that some newbe's only post crap, just like MAV WOLF.
Anyhow, I have got an idea.
We can add some kind off a test by the registration.
For example: (Some) People want to registrate, to become a member.
To become a member they have to make a boxarts for the registration test:

-the ones that make serious, fine or original boxarts
may become members.
-the ones that make crap, may not.

that idea, while a good one, has a flaw.
say thgat someone doesn't pass the test because their boxart, well...sucks.
it would be kind of unfair to them, because they would not have an opportunity for their boxarts to be criticized, and they couldn't improve their work.
i dunno if that makes any sense, but thats how i feel about that idea.
