Well, to start off, I've always loved video games ever since Super Mario Bros. but I was never "hooked" until the N64 days, when GoldenEye 007 first came out. It was the first game that I would actually play all night long with my friends, and never for one second did me or anyone else get tired of it. How about you guys?

When I got be hook on Video game was when I was 6 (I think)My Dad go an Sega Genesis for Christmas and we played it as much as we can. We went Albertson (when it was still cool), they had video game rental as an part of the store (well the one by my house did), back in the day (1992-1996) I rented a lot of game there (cause their cheap retal, $1.00 for an week, cheap) I played the whole sonic series, Comix Zone, Burgerman, Earthworm Jim 1 & 2, Castlevania, and an lot of other platformers.
What got be hook on the nintendo products, was the snes, even though I didn't own it, I played it at my friend's house for hours, that made me get the N64, which really got me hook, with Super mario 64, mario kart, goldeneye 64, banjo kazooie and super smash bros. Who wouldn't?

If I never played a Sega Genesis, I would have never played nintendo products (Irony)
If I never played a SNES, I would never bought an N64, PS1, PS2, GBA, GBA SP, DS, Gamecube and be preordering the Wii.

Right Now I only have an PS2, DS, and an GameCube.
(^if that's true, why do I only have 3 systems? Well, the Sega was my dad's and got stolen, SNES was my friends, N64 was stolen, PS1 was Stolen, GBA was stolen, and the GBA SP I Gave to my brother)

Yoshi’s Island was also first game I got into at about 11 aswell Zelda III, currently in my gaming life I’m addicted to Rpgs.

When I realized I weren’t bad at games was when I completed Resident Evil: Code Veronica at the time which was mildly hard.
After being fascinated by Shenmue 1-2 I became addicted, it was livelihood of Shenmue that took me to a new level, after being put of big, story driven rpgs by ‘turn based combat’ and the item complications, after playing Final Fantasy X, its simple no level system drew me in and the cinematic 50+ hour story, of course Final Fantasy was never really over complicated or too lazy to use a real-time battle system like Zelda, it wasn’t what FF was about after realization of this and accepting RPGS and stealth games I became an avid Playstation player, the present gen marked the release of the gen of quality games, RE series, Metroid series, Mario Rpg, Kingdom Hearts, Dark Chronicle, Mario plat formers, Legacy of Kain, so I’ve played a lot of games and I welcome Wii and some of the PS3s quality titles.

No XBOX?!? nor do I have nothing against other than I’m not normally into gritty games, and XBOX has a lot of simulators and shooters dominating it, doesn’t have enough of a Japanese adventure games to get my teeth into which are my type.

Even though, GoldenEye 007 was the game that got me started... The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the game that made me appreciate being a gamer. Which is why I consider it to be the "Best Game Ever," no offense 007.

Well my sisters had a NES when i was like 6 and they played Super Mario Bros alot, which got me started, in fact I still remember being stuck on the last castle for so long and then one day i came home my sister called my in and told me she beat it and then showed me how.

But like the above poster i didnt really pour a ton of time into game until Sonic came out for the genesis...man did i beat that countless times (yes i even considered myself a "pro" at sonic.

I would later go on to buy a N64, PS1, Xbox, and now an a 360.

to tell you the truth, i'm not really that addicted, i find it fun, but i really don't fancy spending my whole day doing it.
yet if you really wan't to know, the first ever game i played was Math Blaster for the PC (yah i know:( ) Yet the first game I liked was Goldeneye for the n64 and then the first game that I bothered to finish was Halo 1.

it's all good:)

I'm am addcted to them like my PC, and using the TV.
But I do not play everyday like I used to, heck I talk more about games recently a lot longer than I play them, however with FFXII and next generation begining fully ths year, I will be magnetized to the TV and I will cuted down on other activities.
:D

If I had the luxury of having DSL/Cable then I would be playing my Xbox 360 everyday (because of Call of Duty 2.) But I'm more of a single-player kind of gamer, anyway...

I think the game that got me started in the wonderful world of gaming would probably be Super Mario RPG, I still play that game to this day its definatly a top choice in my book. I fancy Japanese RPGs/Adventure titles so I've pretty much this recently passing generation been a playstation gamer. And was looking forward towards the ps3. But right now due to the ps3s absurd pricing, im holding off on it. Right now im actualy really excited for Wii, and 360.

And actually EG, Im kinda impressed with the japanese games in devlopment for 360, Lost Oddesey, Blue Dragon, Cry On, Trust Bell, they look awesome. And im anxious to try them out. Hopefully japanese devlopers keep supporting it and the 360 will be a platform bountiful with plenty of Japanese games. Hopefully enough for you to "sink your teeth into".. lol ^ ^

Mario RPG was one of the first Rpgs I’ve completed too, DT, yes I know Final Fantasy creator is now developing games for the 360 and that tempts me to buy one when cheaper, still not enough to stand up and make me buy one now though, those RPGS are on a less royal budget and pail when it comes to my type of killer app for the 360.

well, the first game i can remember playing was the original sonic the hedgehog, then it was road rash, then mortal kombat 2. i didn't actually own the genesis however, but instead i would play it when my mom would take me with her to her friends house :p
The game that really got me addicted tho, would have to be a tie between super mario 64 and banjo kazooie.
the first 2 games i owned.
good times :)
