Set-Up

It will be an 16-man contest.

First Round- 1 vs. 1 matches (8 matches)
Second Round- Winners- 1 vs. 1 matches (4 matches) / Losers- 4 vs 4 matches
Finals- Winners- 4 for all match (1 vs. 1 vs. 1 vs. 1) / Losers- 4 for all match (1 vs. 1 vs. 1 vs. 1)

Extra Round- Comeback Match (Winner Vs. Loser)


Basically this tournament is all about boxart.
How it works is that I will pick a category with rules, (boxes, system, 2d art, 3d art, etc,)
I'll give you four days to make it, by the deadline, PM or email it to me...then in the Rounds thread, the community/members will pick who wins by voting. The first box with seven votes wins.

Rules for Boxes and Voting

For each round there will be set rules onto how you make the boxart. Say, for round one, the box has to be from a game made before the year 2000 and has to have pictures that you in some way edited, it will be set out like this:

Example:

Game- (Must be before the year 2000).
Console- Any.
Genre- Any.
2D or 3D- Any.
Other- All pictures must be edited in some way by you.

To vote, post what box you think is better in the forum where that round is listed. Your votes must not be retaliations or be based on biased opinions. They must also have a good reason.

If you want to sign up, please do so before the 18th of April. To sign up, post in this forum, telling me that you want to sign up.

So? That's Lodo's problem. I intend to finish mine. That mean you're in? 2D is when the box lies flat, as in just the front and back cover. 3D is when the covers are either made 3D in Imandix or made 3D using some 3 Dimensional template.

usually, that set-up would be considered 3d if you have a reflection and a plastic box template.

i'm in, but 16 people? i think thats a bit much, and it will last pretty long.

Good point. Time frame has been updated to 5 days in order to allow competitors the maximum amount of time.

You forgot actuall 3-d program like shady does I'm trying to learn how to use Cool-3d the same one he uses byt its really hard

its not really hard, java coding is hard.lol, im not a very good teacher, but is it your trying to make and i can help? if its cases and consoles like mine, i cant help you there since i 've the only ones on the net.LOL :)

EDIT: also if you really need help with it, tell me what your making (provide images if you can) and i'll try and make a tutorial/walkthrough for you if you want.

you can just put box in perspective in GIMP like i do, and there you have 3D box

i saw it, im pretty sure he didn't make that case in 3D program, im pretty sure its a dvd case someone took a picture of. im pretty sure i've seen it before somewhere. also you may notice that when something is produced in a 3D program, you wil be able to tell (even in the most advanced 3D programs) from the lighting that the object has, just opinion though. sorry for going off topic everyone.
