New Idea

I was making a Boxart yesterday and the idea come to me of compettiton, i had the idea that it would be a realy good idea to hold a BoxArt compo. the idea is Reed or a mod says what box art to make and that we all should maje it and see whos is best, now this is just a random idea, dunno if you guys agree with me on this....................?

A contest would be cool. Some of us wouldn't stand a chance,:( but it would still be good practice for all of us. Even the best like hellknight, lodo, and deadpix need to practice. A competition would push the best further by making them think long and hard about how they will beat the others and it would give the newbs and the avarage users practice and ideas of how to get better. Seeing all the boxes at once would make us so much better.:D

Dude that sound like a lot of fun. I know I would get crushed, but it would still be awesome to see the best go at it. Oh, and we can be sure Radioactive_bob will enter his first. ;)

haha, of course one of the best box-artists on the site would suggest something like this :p

but i think its a great idea. i participate on something like this on roosterteeth.com. its a photoshop contest where someone posts a source image, then the other members try and photomanipulate it the best they can. whoever is chosen as the winner then posts the next source, and so on and so fourth.
its a ton of fun, and i think something like that here would be fun for the good artists and would those who are trying to improve their work. :)

Oh yeah, been loong planning some contests once the site gets big enough. Would really like to get Adobe to sponsor and offer up a copy or few of Photoshop to the winner(s). Still a ways off from being able to pull that off I think, but we're making progress...

In the meantime though, I think something like WickedGamer suggests would be cool (but not limit to a src image, just to a certain game). I'll think about it some, and maybe start one up this wknd.
