I think its meant to be random rain drops on the camera lens.

It doesn't look too bad so far, just take note it's not only on 360.

Why not? That's the program I use.

As for you box, it is nice. A bit plain, but you are definitely getting GIMP down. It took me few months to learn everything there was to do. I do wonder though about the smudges. They seem unnecessary.
