How do I change the size of an image

I'm using GIMP, I've not done anything in photo shop and so on befor so please make this easy if it's hard, how do i make images bigger or smaller?

it's simple. just get the image, and resize it. :p

Slight problem, that changes the whole thing, I just want to either make the Blu-ray box bigger, or the Playstation 3 sign smaller.

click on the layer that you want to resize * click on layers channel on one of the 2 windows that is open *
