I think it's time for a feature (if its possible) where we have a sort of buddy list, and only the people we have on the list can rate our boxes, and vice-versa.
That way, only the opinions we trust can say whether our boxarts are good or not, and I think it would keep newbs or morons from rating good boxes with low scores just because they dont think its cool/funny/whatever, or rating them low just because they're bitter about something.
Anyone with me here? I think this would be a great feature and would stop a lot of the complaining. :)

I think that's an great idea, I tried of people just rating stupid scores for great and decent boxarts. The would stop poeple from doing that and also let the creator know who's rating their boxes.

Actually I think a better idea in the same vein would to have be an straight ‘ignore user rating for box’

would be a bit of a better option, it would limit the bad users from rating certain boxes while being simpler and not have boxes restricted by a certain numbers of members 'buddies', I want everyone but the pricks on my buddy list and that’s too many people for me to have also it’ll be a more effective compromise and I think that’s what people really want …
….. but then I could just keep the 5/5 scores on my boxes and disregard the rest, I would never do that to make myself look superior but disabling peoples ratings it would give twits who just want their boxes to have excellent scores and will disregard the rest, they want their boxes to look like they have better rep and that would look very silly.

So things would get complicated, and very silly so I do not think we need twits making only mega enthusiastic users voting their boxes and I do not want ‘buddy list’ to cover up the noobs and trolls from voting my box.
I like the simple system already here pretty much, ‘‘it outweighs the idiots’’ I like comments more than ratings on their own;
I just hate some of the noob users, what I really want is for more enforcement, punish the bad users!!!:mad:

i hate it when i make a more than decent box (dark sector) and somebody gave it a one!:mad: i don't expect my boxes to get straight 5's, but a one seems a little absured.

wickedgamer u mean like my final fantasy box yea i think its unfair taht a lot of people rated me down just because they dint like my template. i think the ppl that did that are nubs. glad u agree!

I think it is interesting to create a list of respective users. But let the rest of the users rate the box too. So there will be two ratings.
One from the good known and respective users, another from users a who still on the way :)

the BIGGEST part of the box wuld be the art on the cover. (it takes up the most space silly) back wen i was a nub i almst forgot 2 put the temp on a lot, thas how little i care about it.

i dont think havin a rong template brings teh score to a 1 like sum of u think, but hey thas just me and i care about the box ART. if u care more about the temp than everythin else in teh box you shuld go to http://vgtemplateart.com and start an acount there. hav fun there.
