I think its just the bizarre Japanese culture dude. I've seen some shows from that country that makes this look quite normal. Still, interesting story to say the least.

Now if they offered a happy ending, well, that would make it...

A love letter? Why that when you could just bang them.

Yeah i know...

But it's amazing that in a country with a population of almost 130 million, people are still either lonely enough or desperate enough to pay for this kind of service....
Whatever happened to having friends?

I would NEVER ask my friend to write me a love letter.

What I'm surprised of is that Akiba did not have this kind of shop before. I am intrigued by the tsundere slap.

Is the population for Japan really THAT high??
That's pretty amazing considering how small the country is :).

they have services like this in America. most, ermm, pretty much all people in japan don't even know about this stuff. all American stereotypes. Like people from other countries always imagine all Americans being overweight except the celebrities

Yeah its pretty crazy given its size. Tokyo has a population of 12 million people alone. Interesting to note, probably in an effort to save space, the Japanese have become accustom to vertical parking:

Bike Tower (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wE4fvwTBtno&feature=player_embedded)

Car Tower (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQW5iCbdkb4&feature=related)

Car Park of the future (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzm2IGvAx2Y&feature=fvw)

Pretty clever thinking if you ask me, if not somewhat obscure.

Lol that is crazy!! I wouldn't trust my car in one of those things :p

Although what is REALLY crazy is if you look at this map:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e9/Australia_Japan_Locator.png/800px-Australia_Japan_Locator.png

Japan's population is 127 million (orange)
Australia's population is 21 million (green)
That is incredible when you compare the actual size of the two countries.

Haha yeah its a big difference!! I'd image they'd wouldn't have much room left, although my dad told me when he went there in the 70's they were getting right into the highrise thing, and judging from what friends who have been there told me, they're pretty conservative with space, so it looks like building straight up is a viable solution. Not so good for those with height issues. But from what everyone tells me, you don't have to go far to get anything you may need/want, which isn't a bad compromise if true.

Personally, I'll stick to living in a nice house on a 1/4 acre block, conveniently located within an hours drive from Sydney, opting to simply deal with the 2 hour round trip.:p

Interesting fact about Australia, to boost the population, the Government pays people up to AUS$5,000 when they have a child!! Come to Australia, get citizenship...and populate!!!

Wow... that's really depressing. I don't know what to think of that. You pay a girl to sit there... and LOOK at you? Oh, wow... I don't know who to feel sorry for; the guys, the girls, or the people who organise that thing.

I wouldn't feel sorry for the girls, they're actually getting paid for it.

I'm not sure what third grade is but I'm gonna guess it's really young? No, they taught us numbers and addition and subtraction. They also taught us how to count and learn the alphabet and what the difference is between a noun and an adjective. They did not teach us the population of Japan unfortunately :(

That's what I was trying to say. He didn't know what Third Grade was, so I was being an ass about it, because I was sure almost everyone knew what it is... the American school year system, like we have Year 1-13 here. He obviously wasn't saying that at all, because he didn't know.

I know what grades are! I do watch American cartoons and shows you know. I meant I didn't know what Grade 3 meant! As in, how old would you be to qualify for Grade 3? I wasn't sure if it works exactly like British school terms e.g. Year 1 = Grade 1? Year 2 = Grade 2? I dont even know what age they start School in America.
