Hey everyone! Just a question....what is your favorite video game theme? Tune?

For me, I love the Song of Time from Zelda. That, and the Kokori theme from OoT.

I quiet enjoyed the Doom 3 theme, preformed by Tweaker. And unknown techno band that are surprising not that bad.
But some great classics are:
-Super Mario World
-Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie (General brings it up once, and I remember how much I loved that game...Now I can't stop thinking about that game!)
Yoshi's Island
Halo
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (greatest orchestra of all time)

OK, I've been thinking about it, and I love:

underground theme music from Mario games (I think it was in Hazy Maze Cave? O_o)
A lot of the "jingles" from Metroid Prime, but I can't pick one I like more than the others
The music from the lake level in Super Mario 64, the one where you see Bowser's sub.
And my all-time favorite video game tune: The song that plays when you finally beat bowser the last time in Super Mario 64, when the credits start and they go through all the levels again. I beat bowser just to hear that song...

- mushroom city / bridge from Mario Kart Double Dash
- the tune in metroid, you know when you start the game and samus appears in that save place thing? it makes that little tune. I love that.
- the music to Level 1-1 in New Super Mario Bros, and the music to the castle levels

Looking as a whole Final Fantasy has a best music and im talking about FFI-FFIX and possibly X. Simply because it was composed by Nobuo Uematsu. The man is one of the best composers in world EVER. I mean have you heard full orchestrated versions of his songs, one word BEAUTIFUL.
Liberi Fatali is much better than One Winged Angel, I have almost all his albums.
Man is GENIUS for music.
Donkey Kong Country also has great soundtrack.
Legend of Zelda main theme- also amazing, and
Metroid Prime 2 if you like that kind of music

And Super Mario main theme :)

The Gears of War soundtrack is so awesome, whenever i play it i sometimes just stand around and listen to the sound or turn down the sound effects and voice volume, so i can hear the music... it's so ace, but unfortunately you can't download it from galdabia hotel... :(. I'm definitely buying the soundtrack when it comes out on CD, though.

Never get tired of singing Snake Eater.

Other outstanding themes of MGS-series, the credits song from MGS1, Shagohod battle theme from MGS3, the credits song also from MGS3 and of course the MGS-theme itself. Dizzy's, Slayer's and Ky vs. Sol -final battle themes from Guilty Gear 2X are pretty awesome, so is the entire ST but these stand out the most. Passion (or Sanctuary in english dub) theme of Kingdom Hearts II. First and second Vergil battle themes of Devil May Cry 3, not to mention the game's theme itself. Theme of Hitman series, I don't really like the games but I can't deny the awesomeness of the soundtrack. I could start listing FF themes, but that would a pain in the ass.

Fable, Mario, and Halo have kickarse soundtracks. Zelda too. TP's soundtrack was okay but not amazing. EA Sports titles vary, a lot of crap on those, at most 2-3 good songs per year.


The Spiderman 2 game had an amazing soundtrack. It sounded just like air and breeze! Oh wait...that's because it was :P
