Gears of War FanFic Story Logo (WP)

I'm always looking to branch out my skills, and the Fan Fic Header Contest on the Epic Gears' form thread got me thinking about doing up some logos and other artwork bits.

Anyhow, here is my first concept logo, overlaid on a faux leather background for contrast. The idea here was to create a flier's badge (wings), much like the ones you see on a military pilot's uniform today. The logo project file alone is 3000x3000 px, but I down scaled it to fit on this background. This example is high-res at 3000x2000 px and it is about 6MB, so please be patient if it is slow to load.

Yes, here is a Gears of War Zombie style wallpaper. I probably got the zombie "look" all wrong, but this is how I interpret it to be. I put in quite some time on this one. I used some photos of the Gears action figures to get a good lineart going, then I painted in the whole affair. The project is actually 3000x2250 px. Tools used were Painter, Photoshop, Lightroom and Wacom Tablet. 18 hours of work total.

This wallpaper comes in various popular desktop resolutions.

Well, you're brilliant at Graphics Design so it would be really cool if you could go into box designing. Also, what program do you use?

Also, what program do you use?I use a myriad of tools. My most common tool is, are you ready for it? Photoshop for image creation to include texturing and layering. In addition to Photoshop, I also use Corel Painter occasionally to give my work a unique look all its own (at least I hope). My work could not be accomplished in a timely or just manner without my Wacom tablet. I use Lightroom for lighting adjustment, color refinement and image finalization.
