So, I think I've seen it said somewhere, but can't find it now, but how many points are needed to get into Hall of Fame?
PS. Does it automatically go into HoF when the certain amount of points are achieved, or do the mods put them into HoF?

around about 150
Damnit, my KZ2 box has 153, but still no HoF. :p
Guess I'm just QQ'ing here too much. But I still did hope for it to get into HoF (as I'm sure we all do, always).

It will go in, I think the site takes some time to register it or something. And sometimes it might be because someone faved it when they were rank 4 then went up to rank 5 and so on. But it's quite complicated to be honest, it should be in reasonably soon.

The HoF system is flawed slightly, it get's messed around when people change ranks, for example, say a rank eight faves your box, then becomes a rank nine, you will still only get eight points.

That's not flawed. That's how it was made.
If a Rank 2 was to favourite your box at the time, they could be doing because it simply looks pretty, yet your box could be complete garbage. They grow later with more experience, and better critique abilities (hopefully) Thats why their favourite will become more valuable, so their rank 2 fave should stay at 2 points due to their lack experience.
Also, counting ruins the whole idea of it.
The new goddamn Hall system was brought into play because in the old days, people would post comments like "4 faves to go!" Which is just plain ol' SPAM. Sadly some people still do it today, which is why the people shouldn't be saying how many points it is.
BECAUSE YOU SHOULDN'T BE COUNTING.
If you get Hall, you get a Hall, woop-dee-doo. If you don't have one, don't goddamn advertise, people hate that. People will look at your box if they think it's good enough, not if you want them to.

I wasn't advertising, I'm just. It's so close to my first HoF, I'm sure even you were ultra-excited when you were in the same position.

if people are counting every little red square, obviously they're just SO desperate to get it in there... probably meaning that's the reason they made the box in the first place.

Every little? Actually I just saw that other people had less people who favorited, but still got into HoF. So I read, and discovered it was over 150.

Simple answer: You can't tell. Reed made the system that way, I admit I was a bit excited on my first HOF, but it won't end your life if it doesn't get in. Move on and make an even better box ;)

It'd be great if there was no hof system, then we'd just have people who care about making art on the site.
I think that I should probably just stop making boxes. My only goal here is to get my rank to at least around 7, but that requires hours of work.
I'll admit that I've rushed in a few boxes for unknown reasons, and that ultimately, creating them is a waste of time in itself.

You shouldn't use ranks as a goal... more of an achievement.
You're main goal of this site should be to showcase your work, get feedback and hopefully improve your skills.
I'm actually getting tired of being jealous of other people's HOF. I think it's mainly because my work goes somewhat unappreciated.
I'm probably wrong about that.

Agreed. The HoF system has been abused so much, and sometimes it even starts the stupidest of fights. It'd be better if there just wasn't an HoF system, and artists can just submit they're boxes. What is an HoF anyway? A temporary feeling of self-righteousness, wow, have fun with that =P
