It does its job, which is to turn off all running programs that can get in the way. It doesn't do anything that can't be done manually, but it's nice to have.

Still the same layout, but thanks to Omnimo and Rainmeter 2.1 I changed the tile to have Aero Blur, and far better support for Winamp.
Still I can never stick to one wallpaper, but this looked to show the effect best, while still looking nice.

I guess it's just a matter of preference, idk. I installed in on my Sandy Bridge PC (Which was hell btw, had to follow two or three guides. However, I did get it to recognize my disc drive, hard drives, wireless adapter, graphics card, and 8GB of RAM). For one, I like the dock much better than the Windows taskbar, and Dashboard with widgets is very awesome (Much better and faster than the sidebar or desktop widgets in Windows. Second is that everything opens instantly. iTunes, firefox with 10+ tabs, everything I've tried has been instant. I also really love Time Machine, the best backup software I've ever seen and it's included with the OS. All the programs are integrated so well together that it's very easy to check your email, encode video, play a game or browse the web really really fast and easily. I honestly can't think of anything besides Visual Studio that I miss from Windows.

I only said it because it clearly violates the EULA. I haven't read it start to finish, but I have been well informed on the situation. You are not licensed to use OSX on anything else apart from a Apple branded system.

Yeah I understand what you are saying, but I don't think it's anything to make a huge deal about. EULA's are laughable sometimes, such as a few lines in the iTunes EULA: "You also agree that you will not use these products for the development, design, manufacture or production or missiles, or nuclear, chemical or biological weapons."

So I made a Mass Effect 2 Rainmeter theme by hand, (although the images, while well edited, were not made from scratch), it's in progress, but it fully functional. And why use the Illusive Man wallpaper with it, mix and match is so much better.

When I first got Rainmeter I loaded my desktop with a lot of things. And didn't use 75% of them. Then I started removing things. I got what in posted some pages back. Then I couldn't find a good place to place them, and removed every single thing that I didn't used. Clocks for example. What I finally got was a Recycle Bin In the corner, that when pass the mouse on it, it shows how many items are in it, and how much Bytes they occupy. This:

Not yet, it's still a WIP, first adding what I need/use, then what others use, then adding a UI to make inputing settings easier.

Yes, with my old Omnimo configs, they were all shortcuts I used, and now, the theme I'm making working on is functionality first, then looks second, fortunately looks don't seem to be a problem so far, also update to the theme.

Well, I've always thought these kinds of thread anywhere were a really cool concept.
And since I run Windows XP SP3, I always think I'm going to get ragged on, but I love my comp enough to want to participate in showing it off.
The theme is isn't special, only XP Royale Noir, and the wall was actually just made recently so hope you dig! XD

I think I read somewhere that they said that that demo was only to demostrate the concole's power, and that there wasn't an actual full game development under it. Somebody, PLEASE tell me I'm wrong.

I think I read somewhere that they said that that demo was only to demostrate the concole's power, and that there wasn't an actual full game development under it. Somebody, PLEASE tell me I'm wrong.

Either way, you know there will be an HD Zelda eventually. If this is what Nintendo is showing the WiiU to be capable of now, as a tech demo, just imagine what could be done in it's later years. It will be glorious.

Metroid Prime remains among one of the most atmospheric games to date.

Make the game a little more shiny, and I'll just end up exploring the areas more often than I will actually traverse through them, just trying to catch every little detail they put into the game.

Okay then. It's a shame that she's known like that by so many people. For me, it's the music that counts. I didn't see her much as a drug addict, just as a legendary (in my opinion) artist. Her drug problems were side issues, but they were exploited way too much in the media. And then people get the wrong impression. But I don't want to talk about this anymore.

I've never had any problems with Rainmeter before. You'll be fine.

Folders exist for a reason. Then again, I'm a fairly organized person. The thought of having random icons placed outside of their respective folders or categories/sub-categories would drive me over the edge.

I understand, but like I said a few posts up, I could never tolerate something like that in my own desktop. It's difficult, too, since I share a PC with my significantly less organized brother.

I've taken a liking to not place any shortcuts on the desktop, since I end up filling it with downloaded files. It's easier to sort them out later, when I know that I don't have to leave anything on the desktop.

It's ObjectDock, actually. The icons were either made from pre-existing stuff found through Google, or recreated if I couldn't find a decent high-res image. The only thing I'm currently using Rainmeter for is the date/clock and a music player.
